Celebrating the Big Things...Our Home.

Happy Monday!! In lieu of today's Monday Motivation post, I wanted to take a minute to document two big things in the life of the Riddicks. We always say that this little space is a way for us to document our lives as we enjoy the little things, celebrate the big things, and soak in all the moments in-between. 

Along with Pierce's new job, we wanted to share the Lord's graciousness and give him glory for provision over buying our home!

In 2018, a very dear family friend bought this sweet home in Nashville for Pierce and I to rent when we got married. We felt like we couldn't even believe it at the time and always explained to people that it felt like a picture and the essence of the Gospel - a gift that we did not deserve and could only receive. 

In the past three and a half years, this place has become a refuge for us. 

In all seasons, it has become a place for us to come home to after long days of work, enjoy slow and cozy mornings of rest, grow together as we journeyed through the first few years of marriage, and invite people in for wonderful nights of fellowship and community...

We have watched the seasons pass by not only throughout the years, but in our own lives as well...

And as we get ready to bring a little one home soon, the owners so graciously offered to sell it to us at a discount as we enter this next stage of our lives. We, once again, couldn't even fathom the gift we were being offered, and as we reflected on this home and all that it has meant to us, we are so grateful for the generosity and kindness of faithful friends. We pray that as we continue to steward this home, we would be able to live out 1 Thessalonians 2:8, of sharing not only the Gospel of God, but our own lives as well. May this home be a refuge to many and a home where we pray people feel the peace and joy of God as they come inside. 

We celebrated on Tuesday with the official signing of the papers, and we pray, know, and trust that the Lord has big plans for the Riddick Family in this little home of 413...
