Traveling With a Baby

Happy Tuesday!!! It's travel week for the Riddicks!! This week will mark flights 11-14 for Jane including her first out of the country flight! And I thought today it might be fun to document a little what we've learned and also ask for any tips from all of you experienced travel parents out there!!

Thursday!!! The best day of the week over here. Hope you all are having such a great week so far! 

Today’s Frame This Moment is truly one of the sweetest moments. I hope I remember it forever. I also included a bonus moment because it was a first that was just too cute not to document!! I hope you guys are finding these sweet moments in your days and weeks too that cause you to stop and be grateful for a moment in time to remember and frame!! What a blessing to get to enjoy the little things!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I know these few weeks are filled with spring break sprinkled in for most, so if you're spring break is starting, I hope you had such a great week coming up!!! 

One year ago today I finished my last day of teaching before my maternity leave started. I can't believe it's already been a year!! You can read a little bit more about that transition here. 

But today we are headed up to Louisville for the weekend to spend some time with my family, and then our "spring break" trip is coming up at the end of March with Pierce's family. So we're looking forward to some fun family memories this month!! 

Today I just have a little assortment of favorites around here. A little life lately and just a few things we're loving too!! I hope you're finding those simple joys in your day too!! Here's a little look at some of ours!!

Happy Thursday!!! I hope everyone is having a good week!! It's a sweet Frame This Moment day over here!! I've had a similar frame this moment before, but this week, this morning was too sweet not to pause and want to try to remember forever.

Happy Wednesday!!! It always feels like I'm several days into the month by the time I post these goals, but I guess it always gives me a few extra days to think about the month ahead! Friday Favorites - Lunch Dates, Bubbles, and Tea

HAPPY FRIDAY!! We are looking forward to the weekend over here! It's been a full week, but we've loved all that we've had on the calendar. Pierce and Jane are excited about a Friday night together as I'm headed to a sweet women's event at our church. Then we're looking forward to hopefully a sunny and relaxing Saturday and Sunday!!

Frame This Moment.

Today's Frame This Moment is more like a Frame This Day... Last week, Jane and I had a few hours in the morning after some errands and before naps and tutoring, so we made our way to the park for a little walk in the sunshine, and it turned out to be one of my very favorite days. 

Hello March

Goodness, I just love a new month!  

And this one means so much more to me now because last year, we were praying and hoping and counting down till Jane's sweet due date on March 26th, 2022. (Which turned into us loving April all the more when she came on April 5th.) You can read a little bit more about our last March here. 

There's something so refreshing about the 1st of the month though. A new month, a fresh start, a continuation of the calendar but with a little fun meaning and moment to regroup and reflect and think about all that's happened and all that's to come. 

Two Years Blogging 🎉 Q&A

Aww TWO whole years of The Riddick Family Blog!! 

I remember clicking publish on my first post on February 28th, 2021 and sending the link to my mom and sister, thinking they would probably be the only two to ever read it. I started out just posting once a week, challenged myself to blog every day one month in the summer, and then posted here and there throughout my last year of teaching. Then my challenge to blog every day again in the month of July turned into many months of being here every morning, and I love it so much! Thank you for following along and for all of your encouragement, comments, emails, tips, advice and insight! This is such a fun little place for me, and I can't thank you enough for reading along!! 

Life Lately (And Any Q&A Questions?!)

Hey there!!! HAPPY MONDAY!!! We are headed in to what feel like really full weeks coming up...is it just me or does it feel like spring just totally snuck up on us all?! Hahaha but we had the best weekend, and are ready for this Monday!!

Friday Favorites - Jane, Valentine’s Day and a Long Weekend

Happy Friday!! We are so looking forward to the long weekend in store! Pierce has Monday off work, and we can’t wait to enjoy a few slow days around here.
