Happy Wednesday!! Half way through this short week!! I thought today could be fun just to share a few snapshots from our Christmas and New Years. As always, it was busy and full and so fun. So incase you are interested in what the Riddicks were up to, here are just a few snapshots from that sweet break! 

2022 in Review

Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday!! We had a great weekend over here! I hope you guys did too!  Even a few weeks into January, I still had to post my 2022 in Review... 

This may be one of my very favorite posts because I have a feeling I might look back on these years from now and love seeing what life and this season looked like for us... 2022 was a big year for The Riddicks. We bought a new car, purchased our home, I finished my fifth year of teaching on maternity leave, we welcomed JANE and grew from a family of two to three, we traveled, saw family, completed some home renovations, and really just tried to soak up as much of baby Jane as we possibly could.

Merry Christmas from the Riddicks!

Awww how are we already here?! Today marks the start of our Christmas break over here, and I am going to take some time off to soak up every moment of this sweet season with Pierce and Jane and our families. 

Life Lately.

Happy Thursday!! I hope everyone is having a great week and staying warm and dry!! We are making the most of this dreary week in Nashville, and I thought today I'd share just a few pictures from the past few weeks...

Most of our days recently have really just looked like a lot of cozy moments at home, but I thought it would be sweet to share a few pictures and memories from this Christmas season! So here is just a little look into the Riddicks' life lately!

Tidbits About the Riddicks - Our Christmas Cards

Happy Tuesday!!! I thought today would be fun to share a few pictures of our Christmas cards throughout the years... This is our fifth Christmas as The Riddicks, so I don't have too many to share, but each come with such sweet memories, and I already just love looking back on the years, that seem to be flying by faster each year!! 

The Riddick Home for the Holidays

Happy Monday!!! We can't believe it is already Monday morning!! We had the best weekend and loved every minute of a fun Christmas weekend, with a night at church, a friend in town, and such a fun Dave Barnes Christmas concert! 

But today I thought it would be fun to open up our home and show you a little glimpse at The Riddick Home for the Holidays! I wish I could invite each of you in and have some hot tea and puppy chow by the fire, but for today, I thought these pictures would be the next best thing. So I hope you cozy up this morning with something warm and enjoy this small tour of the Riddick Home at Christmastime! 

Friday Favorites - 8 Months, Cozy Nights, and Simple Joys

Happy FRIDAY! Wow, what a week! Someone mentioned recently that it feels like we live in Seattle with all of our rainy days, and I couldn't agree more. Jane and I have made the most of it and still gotten out for a few walks, errands and trips to see friends, but we've also had our fair share of cozy afternoons and nights with Pierce after he got home from work. 

We are very much looking forward to the weekend though and hoping there is some sunshine soon in our future!! Here are just a few of our favorites this week as we are making our way through this December. I hope your days have been filled with small moments and lots of joy and coziness too!!

A Few Favorite Christmas Crafts

Aww Happy Wednesday!! Today I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite Christmas crafts that I've done in the classroom the past several years. One of just my favorite things ever is a sweet little homemade ornament, and now that I have Jane, I think my love for them has grown even more.

Happy Tuesday!! As we are walking into this Christmas season, I know this year specifically it's on so many hearts to slow down and celebrate the small things. Taking time to soak in time with family and savor Jesus and Him being our Savior. And today, as I share just a few of our favorite things at Christmas, I pray it provides a little joy on this rainy morning and maybe gives you a few ideas if you're looking for something fun to put on the calendar, but most of all, I pray it's just a sweet little place to come this morning for a little Christmas joy and fun. 

Also, as this is our first Christmas with Jane, I would just love to know your family Christmas traditions and what we should add to our list! 

A Riddick Christmas Weekend

Happy Monday Morning!! We are looking at a forecast of several rainy days ahead here in Nashville...and even though I'm not teaching this year, seeing those little snowflakes on the forecast is still just as exciting! But as the weather outside is cold and a little dreary, we are making the most of it cozied up inside enjoying this sweet Christmas season!! 

This weekend, we really did just that...

Hello December

December 1st. How are we already starting the last month of 2022?! Time has seriously flown... Now that we are starting December, I feel like there is always this small list in my head that grows faster the further we get into December...

What's Up Wednesday [November 2022]

Happy Wednesday!! For some reason, it pretty much already feels like December to me, but here we are celebrating the end of November! It's been a full month, but the first month in a while where we feel a little back to our pace that we can keep up with...just in time for the holidays and sprint that December usually is, right?! Hahaha

But here's just a little bit of what's been going on with us recently as we finish up this last day of November!

I hope everyone had such a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had the best week and just loved getting to see family and soak up Jane's first big holiday! It was the sweetest, and we're sad it's over, but I thought maybe we could make this gloomy Monday morning a bit more joyful with a fun little giveaway on here! 

Tidbits About the Riddicks - Our Thanksgiving Favorites

Happy Friday!!! I can't believe next week, we are kicking off all of our Thanksgiving festivities... We love Thanksgiving week. Growing up, it was ALWAYS my favorite... I still dream about waking up on Thanksgiving morning... Out of school, Macy's Day Parade on, family together, the kitchen smelling amazing... We had fruit salad for breakfast and football on in the afternoon... It was just the perfect day in my mind. And it still is... Since Pierce and I have gotten married, it's turned into more of a "Thanksgiving week," but we still love it all the more! And we can't wait for Jane to experience this sweet week! 

As I started typing out Friday Favorites this week, I realized that basically, it was our Thanksgiving Favorites, so I decided to make it more of a Tidbits post and combine the two! So here are just a few little tidbits and favorites about our Thanksgiving!!

Favorite Gifts for Family and Close Friends

Happy Thursday!!! This is the last of my little Favorite Christmas Gift mini-series - thanks for all of your fun ideas to share!! I hope it's been sweet gathering some small ideas for your Christmas this year!

Today I just have a few simple things that are a little bigger/could be more meaningful if you're looking for someone in your family or a close friend! 

Favorite Gifts For Teachers/Friends/Neighbors

Happy Wednesday, my friends! I am all turned around this week... First of all, how is Thanksgiving next week?! Second of all, I asked Pierce at dinner on Monday if it had been a busy week for him at work... He laughed and said, "Well, it's Monday." And yesterday, I proceeded to bring all the trash down in our house because I thought it was "Trash Day," which is Wednesday at our house... So...basically, I have no idea what day it is around here, much less what season 😂

I've been reflecting on these little gifts we've given the past few years in hopes they would inspire me because my Christmas shopping is pretty much at zero right now... Maybe by the time December rolls around, my inspiration will be a little higher to find some fun things, but for now, I hope this week these little posts are giving you some creative ideas for gifting!

Today, I thought it'd be fun to collect a random assortment of things I've given/received as a teacher, friend, neighbor, small group member, etc. I must warn you that some of these are rather small, but sometimes those gifts can be just as fun to give and receive! 

Favorite Gifts for Guys/Husbands/Dads

Good morning!! Happy Tuesday!! As I sit here and write this with some Christmas music playing in the background and a *half* decorated tree 😂 I was thinking it would be fun to post some ideas of gifts I've gotten Pierce, our dads, brothers, brother-in-laws, etc the past few years! 

Thanks to everyone who gave so many great Holiday Post ideas yesterday! If you have more, feel free to add them here, and I'll try to get to as many as I can this year!! 

But this post is dedicated to all the guys who can be semi harder to buy for...now, I don't have a million ideas for you, but I can share what I've gotten the past few years that have been some of my favorites and maybe it'll inspire you with some fresh ideas as the holidays are coming. Mainly, I just like thinking what would bless them in a creative and new way. So hopefully you find something that you can do the same for with your favorites.
