Frame This Moment - Bubble Wands

Happy, happy Thursday!!! And Frame This Moment Day!!! Today's little moment was a fun impromptu weekend "activity" that I dare say Pierce and I might have had more fun "playing" than the kids hahhaa 

My sweet mom had gifted Jane and Andy little "bubble wands" when we saw them in Knoxville. They had been in our car and after we got home from a birthday party on Saturday morning, Jane had begged to play with them. With bubbles, sometimes the activity goes really well, and sometimes the activity ends in spilled bubbles all over a child, the ground, and anything else that might be close by and therefore tears hahaha but we said yes, and boy are we glad we did. 

Jane figured out how to get a stream of bubbles going, which was a fun moment for sure. 

And then Pierce and I decided to try to get a picture with "some bubbles in it," which sounds easy enough, but for some reason, felt like "an Amazing Race challenge" with the wind and the bubbles going every which way...

 

It led to many a tries, and we finally got one with the fam in it... 

As Andy just walked right through the frame and Jane had long given up on us and was swinging hahaha

 

For some reason, the whole thing felt like it transported us back to the 4th grade playground, and after both bubble wands had almost all been used, we realized sometimes it's just fun to go back to the basics, spend an afternoon outside being a "kid" and enjoying the simple things, like bubble wands on a Saturday afternoon hahaha and there you have it. Just the tiniest moment that I want to frame and tuck away. Some laughter and fun in a week and season of heavy and hard. ❤️
