Friday Favorites - New Tricycle, Memorizing Scripture, and Mornings at the Park

Happy, happy FRIDAY!! Oh, we are so glad it's the weekend!! We are so looking forward to some sunshine, family time, football, and our small group on Sunday! Today I just have a few favorites for you - little snapshots and simple joys from our week over here. I hope you're finding them in your days as well!! Here are few of ours for your Friday!! 

Well, to start, this little red tricycle was sitting out by a mailbox in our neighborhood to find a new home, and Andy was SO excited the second we saw it. Jane has a little pink one that he has been riding, but it sure is fun to see him on a little red one... It of course came with all of the bells and whistles, literally haha, so we had to add a little bell to Jane's bike too, and now you can hear both coming from a mile away hahaha a little favorite for both Andy and Jane this week! 

Well, memorizing Scripture is a forever favorite, but recently, with this girl, it's been even more so. Around Christmas last year, we started realizing more than we ever had that this little one was a SPONGE and was capable of storing so much more in her little mind and heart than we even knew. (And that's coming from an elementary education background haha) So, we started memorizing a small verse with each of our advent days, and they seemed to stick and she seemed to love it! At the beginning of the New Year, I found a few resources that really spurred me on and challenged me in teaching her Scripture, and really, the rest is history. We are currently working through Philippians and almost always put little sections to song, hand movements, and simple beats and this morning at breakfast we made a little video to send to Papa and Nana. It's something that I have come to LOVE and a part of our days that gives so much purpose to loving and teaching these little ones... 

And to both of our surprise that morning, this little one jumped up and started doing one of our hand movements with us, which I truly could not believe. He has been listening every morning at breakfast with us, and apparently, is more of a sponge again than I even realized. 

SO proud of this little one!! 

And LOVE spending my mornings memorizing with this girl too!!! A true favorite!! 

Well, we are having full on SUMMER days in September, so off to the park we went! We have realized that Jane comes ALIVE more than ever on a swing and in the water. 

She was truly just living her BEST life that morning hahaha 

Well, this is a new favorite around here. We grabbed Jane this little lunch box for her little school days this year, and she has LOVED it. I think she eats more lunch at school than she ever does at home because she's "so excited to open her lunchbox" at lunch hahaha 

We put it in her bigger lunchbox with this ice pack, and the whole thing is very much a Friday favorite for Jane haha 

And lastly, getting some solo time with this cutie is such a fun little favorite too! Let me tell you, he just loves to laugh. And it's not hard to get him to do so hahaha I snapped this from a little video I took while we were walking because I just want to try to bottle up his laugh and sweet little spirit forever! 

I can't believe he's going so fast, but I'm loving this little season of walking and hand holding and soaking up a little bit of Andy!!
