Snapshots from the Beach 2023

Hey there!! Happy Tuesday!!! I thought it'd be fun today to share a few snapshots from our time away at the beach... I mentioned this yesterday, but we really tried to "unplug" during this trip, and it was exactly what we needed. We don't have as many pictures from the week, but we have the best memories, and I'm treasuring them all!!
This little nugget was happy as could be at the beach this year let me tell you!!

Last year when we went to the beach, she was about six months old and was just learning to sit up on her own, so this year, it was crazy and so fun to see her running around and loving the beach so much.
This is truly one of my favorite pictures from the whole week. This is where Jane hung out almost the entire week and LOVED every second. The house we stayed in had some leftover beach toys, and they truly became her most prized possessions throughout the week.
She had a little umbrella and wore Daddy's fishing hat most of the time, and just played and played and played. These are the precious memories I think I will treasure the most.
She also started loving the water and loved being out there with her grandparents!
One of my favorite little memories and snapshots too was her playing in the waves on one of our last nights. She was a bit scared of them at the beginning, and by the end of the week was running in and out laughing with her Papaw. Cue all the tears looking back through these tiny snapshots in time! And her little curls in the back!!!
We loved evenings out soaking in the sunset over the water!!
And being with my parents and sister really just was the sweetest! Jane is obsessed with all three of them, and we love watching her love on them so much and vice versa!
I of course loved soaking in as much time with this guy off work and it was hard to beat those perfect beach evenings!
Take me back!!
We saw amazing day-time rainbows...
Watched the sun come up over the bay most mornings...
And tried to be on the beach every night for the incredible sunset...
We hung out on the beach, in the sand, in the water, in the sun, in the shade...just soaking in that salty air all week and loved every minute.
We had our tea and coffee every morning and this sweet weathered porch and read and journaled in that morning breeze...
We took morning walks with Jane...
And loved seeing the sand and shells and beach from her little perspective...not to mention loving her extremely tiny footprints in the sand...
She loved time with her Daddy seeing the world from her favorite place on his shoulders...
And in a little beach wagon that she could have been in all day...
My incredibly talented and creative mom worked on her "beach" quilt while we were there...
And Jane even got a few sewing lessons of her own!!
She adored her time with my dad!
Truly inseparable...She still wakes up saying "Papa" and "Nana" some mornings...so sweet!
And we all managed to sneak in one quick trip into town for the perfect seafood dinner!
Jane loves anywhere she gets to go with her Papaw!!
But really, we just soaked in time with family on that perfect little white sandy beach!
We ended the last night with a beach fire and could have stayed out there forever with the salty breeze, crackling fire and ocean waves...take me back. I wish I could bottle it all up and play it every evening on repeat...
And I thought this was the perfect picture to end on...a snapshot of Jane and her Papaw. A painting just waiting to happen!

And there are just a few snapshots from our beach trip this year. We loved this week so much and are so grateful for time away and for my parents inviting us into "their place" for a week. We can't wait to be back soon!!

Thanks for following along!!
I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!
Lots of blessings!

    1. Yes!! We love the sunsets on this beach! And September is such a perfect month to visit! It's Cape San Blas - my parents' very favorite place that has become dear to us as well 🥰
