What's Up Wednesday [September 2023]

Happy Wednesday!!! I thought I would jump on the What's Up Wednesday blog link-up today for a little September recap over here... 

We've had the best month and honestly, I can't believe it's already the end of month!! We are squeezing in one last trip this September, and then will be back home to soak in all things that have to do with the glorious OCTOBER. Awww, I just love this time of year!!! 

Here's a little look at what the Riddicks have been up to though!!

What We've Been Eating:

This past Saturday morning, we made a sourdough "oven pancake" with blueberries, and it was so delicious! We used some of our discard starter and were loving this so much with a little honey drizzled on top! 

Lots of chicken, salad and cauliflower rice! 

Pierce even whipped everyone up a beach dinner one night with spelt pasta, and it was a hit! 

And I'm still dreaming about my yummy beach breakfasts with fried eggs, avocado, tomato and a little turkey bacon... Add some hot tea and the salty air, and I'm already dreaming of going back!

What We're Reminiscing About:

We can't believe one year ago this little one was only six months old seeing the beach for the first time. What a difference one year makes!! 

What We're Loving:

Goodness, we really just loved the six days we had on this beautiful beach!! You can read a little bit more about our week here. :)

What We've Been Up To:

Our Tuesday nights have started looking a lot like this with Women's Discipleship Group, and we couldn't love it more. 

Having women gathered around this table every week has just been so sweet, and I'm so thankful!

What We're Dreading:

I'm dreading these beautiful fall days being over way too soon... But then comes "the holidays," and I know they will be just as sweet!!

What We're Working On:

Pierce has been working hard on our broken dryer and it's finally back in action...perfect timing for a million loads before we pack our bags again! Hahaha We've been loving our old school days of using our clothes line again though! 

What We're Excited About:

I have been loving Beeswax candles these days. I love how they're made, how they burn, how they purify the air a little when they're lit, and when I came across these pumpkin ones, I just thought they were too cute to pass up! They were the first bit of fall to enter our house, and I still love them!

What We've Been Watching/Reading:

We've been loving reading through the Bible this year, and especially this month. From Louisville...

...to the beach...

To even cozy mornings in bed... We're excited to start the New Testament October 1st! 

What We've Been Listening To:

Our September Playlist has been getting lots of plays over here... 

What We've Been Wearing:

This month has been a whole lot of swimsuits, sunglasses and sun hats! 

What We're Doing This Weekend:

We are headed back to these beautiful mountains for a few days and are so looking forward to it! 

What We're Looking Forward To Next Month:

Bring on ALL things OCTOBER. We love this month, and can't wait for it to come!!

What We're Thankful For:

This beautiful fall weather and walks around our neighborhood when we can sneak them in the afternoons/evenings!
