Thanksgiving Snapshots 2024

Happy Wednesday!!! I hope everyone had the very best Thanksgiving!! We loved our week in Louisville. It was only the second time in seven married Thanksgivings that we didn't travel to Texas, so it was a bit of a slower pace for us, but we loved it!! I thought it would be fun to just share a few snapshots of the week! We put our phones down for a lot of it, took lots of naps, played lots of games, hung out with family and friends, and ate amazing food, but here are just a few snapshots from the week!
Loved getting to spend the week with this little fam! We facetimed Pierce's family on the night of Thanksgiving, and I managed to squeeze everyone in for a little selfie that night too!
This little girl is learning the art of tea, especially at Nana and Papa's house, and it makes my heart so happy!! She looks forward to drinking out of "her cup" every time we go!
And this little one wanted to be right in the midst of playing games with us too...
...at least most nights hahaha
Pierce and I got to sneak away one afternoons for a little coffee date...
And walked into the cutest little Christmas Hallmark coffee shop/gift shop in my parents' little town.
We took Jane and Andy to see Pierce's granddad...
And it was so special seeing him meet Andy for the first time...
Jane loved getting to see "Grandpa Dick" again.
And we loved reminiscing with him on the past few years...
My how fast she is growing!!
Sweet girl...we loved our visit!!
What we loved the very most though was my mom's amazing Thanksgiving meal too... every part is just truly amazing.
And this year, the turkey was just beautiful and tasted even better!!
We snapped a little picture that afternoon...
And then the next day too when we had my best friend Elizabeth and Braxton join us too for leftovers!
This little one slept through both meals, but loved Nana and Papa's house!
And this little one loved walking in the woods, even on cold days... My parents have 15 acres with lots of trails (thanks to my Dad's love for working in the words) and waterfalls too, so she loved spending time with him out there.
And one afternoon Pierce took her out there... (while I took my fourth nap of the week 😉 hahaha)
And I loved seeing these selfies they took...two favorites for sure!!!
It snowed on the last morning we were there, so Jane wanted to read a book "just like Nana" that morning with her breakfast and tea... It was just a perfect "Frame This Moment" picture...there was a memory game on the table, Christmas books, Christmas pajamas, breakfast, tea, snow in the front yard...just a perfect little morning at Nana and Papa's for this girl.
We packed up that morning with our matching hats...
And this little one slept almost the whole way home...which says something about her week 😉
And we loved getting back to this little home to kick-off the month of December...

It was a perfect little Thanksgiving break for us, and we are so grateful. Thankful for a place that feels like home away from home and for my parents' help with Jane and Andy, for game nights, football games, and amazing food. We really do feel so grateful! And are excited for all the fun to come in this Christmas season as well!!

Thanks for following along in this journey, and I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!!
I'll plan to see you back here tomorrow!!

Sending lots of love!
