Happy Wednesday, my friends!!! This morning I thought I would just share a few pictures of our favorite place to be during the holidays! Out of all the fun things we love during the month of December, I would say that we all love being cozy at home maybe the most. I try to keep things simple, clean and peaceful, especially around the holidays, so that it's a blessing for us to be home and open up our home. Things pretty much stay the same from year to year, but this year, it's far from "perfect" or "finished" with two littles around, but I wouldn't change this season for anything. Here are just a few pics from The Riddick Home this Christmas! 🎄✨
"Come on in!" as Jane would say. I snapped these after church and didn't tell her to pose this way, but let me tell you, she LOVES when people are over, so I thought it was only fitting!!!
During the day...
But my very favorite is during the night...goodness, please never leave, Christmas.
This little "Merry Christmas" sign by our door is a special one because I got it on one of my very first trips to Magnolia when I lived in Texas... This Silos had just opened, and I was SO excited to be there but was on a very tight budget, so I bought this little imperfect Merry Christmas sign for a few dollars, and now it is still welcoming people in almost ten years later now...
My favorite little ornament keepsake from my JK years...
The piano that sure gets played a lot this time of year...
Jane's kitchen is pretty simple this year, but she loves it, and so do I!
The little nativity scene by the sink is a special one that I got when we were in Israel. I SO wish I had had the budget at the time for a real olive wood nativity scene piece for piece, but I could afford this little one, so I bought it and brought it home, and it's just so special, knowing where it came from and a special little memory from such an amazing and impactful trip!!
We've loved having and doing this little Jesse tree this year...and will always love anything Gracelaced in our home!!
A few of the shelves in our playroom...Jane and Andy both (and all the littles that come over) love playing with the nativity scene so pardon the missing wiseman....we are hoping he turns up soon 😂
A neighbor last year got Jane this cute little on and off switch for her tree, and it is still a favorite this year too!!
When I went to take a picture of the playroom at night, I turned the corner and just snapped it how it was. Her triangle comes and goes in this room, but she loves playing with it and it was still out from the day, so I thought it was just the perfect snapshot from this season.
Also, please notice the turkey that we can't quite say goodbye to yet...Jane keeps thinking of people to add to it, and it always makes my smile, so it's experiencing a little Christmas with us this year as well...hahaha
We have a little Reindeer Farm sign in the kitchen that just feels like Christmas to me.
This little wooden snowman has become a classic over here...
This advent devotional is my very favorite...along with a few of my favorite winter Magnolia editions...
This past fall, I noticed that our beloved stocking collection from Pottery Barn was getting retired, so I grabbed one of the last ones for Andy, even though they couldn't personalized it. I found someone in town to match his name, so it's on my Christmas to-do list for sure!! This little Music Box may be my very favorite addition this year though, as it's just such a sweet reminder to be of this little season we are in with "Jane and Andy."
All of the life lived inside this little home...oh, how grateful I am!!!
Just a few snapshots of our home at Christmastime!! We are grateful for a season to be a little extra cozy!!
Thanks as always for following along!! Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between, especially inside our homes this Christmas season!!
Sending lots of blessings this Wednesday!!

Your home is so warm and welcoming! So fun to see it all twinkling for Christmas! We had that same issue with pottery barn!!! Ours are just classic red and white, but this year they changed all the sizing and when I went to order one with him NONE of the options of measurements matched up with the 4 we already have (dog included!!) so I had to completely get new ones for all of us this year and I was so sad!!! I went with a cheaper option though and just got mix matched cream fur stockings and everyone got a matching name tag so I can always change out the stockings in the future as needed ;) Dang pottery barn!!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you!! And oh my goodness you are kidding!! That is crazy, but it makes me feel better. Who knew it was going to be such a big thing to add one more stocking?! I love the cream stockings with name tags though!!! So sweet, simple and cozy!!! And I know G loves having his stocking up there!!!! ☺️🥰🎄
