Happy Wednesday!! Today I thought it would be fun to jump into this week's Let's Look - dedicated to the holidays. If there's one thing we love, it's being cozy during the holidays. With two littles, that sure looks a lot different than it used to, but I thought I'd share a few things that we still love that help make the holidays feel a little cozier and slower paced even amidst a very busy season!!
Here are just a few!!
1. We love keeping this living room a cozy space to rest and relax.
Well, with two littles and quite a few things everywhere, this living room is our saving grace at night, and it's a little small goal of mine to keep it a peaceful and cozy place that we can "unwind" during the holidays.
2. Keeping the fire on.
I know, it doesn't really make since with a toddler and a baby, but when we can, it's a special treat and it just puts us in more of a "slow-down" and "cozy" mood with whatever is on the docket.
3. Pajamas, slippers, and blankets.
These things just exude coziness and really do help my mind and slow down and unwind. I love each and other one during the holidays.
4. Reading.
Snuggling up with a good book, specifically a good Christmas book is an absolute favorite during the holidays and one I love very much.
5. Warm drinks. Usually hot tea.
Oh, I LOVE a good cup of hot tea. I have since I was very little, and there is just something about the holidays that make that cup of a tea a little more special.
6. Scheduling in time to rest.
There are certainly many weekends that are filled to the brim with Christmas fun and traditions and things, but we always try to at least carve out a little time to just be, to cozy up and we LOVE those nights, probably almost the most out of the whole month.
7. And lastly, but really first and foremost, we keep our eyes on Jesus.
This one is special in the sense of usually, especially when I am feeling overwhelmed, when I take time to just sit back, dwell on our Savior, delight myself in Scripture and pray about all that's on my mind, my to-do list instantly takes a back seat and my heart instantly becomes lighter.
In Ruth's Emmanuel devotion, there is a quote that says, "A mind consumed with worship will not have the capacity for worry; it will be too preoccupied with the goodness of God. You see, the antidote to a worried heart is a worshipful one." This one stuck with me a lot this year, and one I've been trying to focus on. Keeping my heart worshipping the Lord, so that there is truly no room for worry.
There are SO many more, but those are the first few that come to my mind. Cozying up and slowing down is special any time of the year, but there's something a little extra special when it comes to the holidays. I can't wait to hear all of your ways too!!! Thanks Shay and Erika for the fun blog link-up today!! If you want to find past "Let's Look" posts, you can find them all here. Thanks as always for following along!
Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between, especially during the holidays!!! I'll plan to see you back here tomorrow!!
Sending lots of love!!

I love the fireplace going! Ours is electric, so much easier with littles around lol but another is that I have twinkle lights on in multiple places: above the fireplace, above the kitchen window, and on a table that I keep on (as well as the tree!) and twinkle lights and a tree in Millie's room. Our favorite way to keep it cozy!
