A Weekend with Mommy and a Night at the Fair 🎡

Happy Tuesday!!! Well, today I thought I'd share a few snapshots from our weekend. We sure had a busy, but fun one over here. Pierce was with our church for Friday and Saturday, so the kids and I tried to have as much fun as we could and then the whole family ventured to our county fair that night before bed... It was an adventure with two littles to say the least 😉 Here's just a few snapshots for your Tuesday morning!
A picture we sent to my family with the line of, "Who are the crazy people who took two toddlers to the county fair at 7:30 at night?!" The answer would be us. Hahaha
But before that, me and these two littles soaked up some Mommy time with Daddy gone for a little while!
We tried to do a few FUN things that we wouldn't normally do, so on Friday we ate an early dinner and then ventured to the toy store to each pick out a toy to bring home. Jane was SO very excited.
She found a little diaper bag for her baby and a tiny MINI backpack for her as we were walking out of the bathroom (I HAD to say yes to both hahaha), and Andy walked (YES, walked 😭😍) straight to this doggy as soon as we got there and never turned back hahaha
It was definitely a sweet and special kind of night! And her baby hasn't taken her backpack off since 😂 (It's actually a keychain for a real backpack with a little mini notebook and pen inside, so that was just icing on the cake for her hahaha)
We did lots and lots of diaper changes...
And Andy has been feeding his doggy and brushing it with the little brush it came with all weekend hahaha
Goodness, I love this little one and can't believe he has really just started WALKING everywhere this past week.
The next morning we were up and at'em and after breakfast and a little facetime with Nana and Papa, we snapped a picture to send to Daddy and headed to the Farmer's Market!
Jane REALLY wanted her baby to ride on the carousel, so we packed her little carrier, and her baby's (and hers!) dreams got to come to life! It was a sweet morning for sure.
And when you go to the Farmer's Market with just Mommy, you might leave with MATCHING HATS as well as peaches, veggies and watermelon. 😂
I came across these and just truly couldn't help myself... Jane has been asking for a little hat to wear and when she saw the pink, she was in heaven.
And there just happened to be a matching one for Andy...
Love these two littles for sure!! Plus our extra baby that hung out with us all morning. (With her backpack on of course!!)
I had to snap a picture of her at lunch with her pink hat, pink shirt, pink baby, pink spoon and pink smoothie...who is this little girl?! 😂
Daddy came home after nap time, and we found ourselves packing up the car to visit the county fair on its last day... Walking beside this little one feels SO surreal. Wasn't he JUST living in my carrier?!
And I honestly feel the same about this little one too 😭
Well, this might have been the highlight of the whole night for Jane and Andy... We took a yellow school bus from where we parked then a golf cart to the fair entrance, and you would have thought we had won the lottery hahaha they had no idea where we were going, but this was a fun way to get there for them for sure...
And I think we will just always laugh about this night because A, like I said, who takes their two toddlers to the fair at bedtime?! Hahahhaa And B, As you can tell in this picture, the stimulation was high and the site-seeing endless... I also think they truly had NO category for what they were seeing... 😂 Jane kept asking things like, "Mommy, why are there people way up there? Are they buckled? Why are they screaming? How will they get down?!" ...and then when we walked past the cows, she was confused all over again I think hahaha
We did find a little rubber duck game that she played though and was so excited to win a little pink and purple bracelet!
And this kid was truly DELIGHTED that there was a steering wheel bigger than him that he could play with hahaha
We didn't stay long, but these two were troopers and had fun along the way!
And I loved watching this girl experience a little "county fair" for the first time...
Any adventure with these three is a favorite! And we're thankful for all the memories and laughs from that night... Jane keeps asking when we can go to the KY State Fair with Nana and Papa, so I consider that a win that she's eager to go again 😂🎡

A weekend for the books over here for the Riddicks... Thanks as always for following along! This is a big week for us over here with lots of "August" things on the calendar 🍎, so I am going to take the rest of the week off of blogging so I can soak them all in, but I'll plan to be back here next week!!

Sending lots of love on this Tuesday!!
