2025 in Review

Oh, 2025. You were one of our favorites to date. This little "Year in Review" post slipped my mind at the beginning of this year, but boy am I glad that I remembered... It may be the middle of February, but looking back and remembering a few of the highlights from each month will forever be a favorite. And 2025 was a special one. It was of course filled with lots of joy and lots of hard, but I think when I look back, I just remember the fun. We tried really hard to fill each month with a lot of FUN, and it makes me smile as I look back on so many of these snapshots. Summer 2025 will forever be a favorite of ours. The ages of the kids, the season we were in with jobs and life, the adventures we had, the small moments we soaked in, we just loved it all. Add in the spring, birthdays, the fall, and holidays, and it adds up to be a favorite! 

Life Lately In Film - January Edition

Happy Tuesday friends!!! Today I thought I'd start a new little series on here called "Life Lately In Film." 

It will come as no surprise to anyone that I am a picture girl through and through. I love them. I always have, and I'm sure always will. I was the friend communicating via picture texts back with a flip phone and thinking the best errand as a child was going with my mom to get our "film" developed at the store. I will always love pictures so very much, but recently, especially with littles who are ever-changing, I have started to just adore videos just as much. SO much is captured on film. And as I've been in my "Frame This Moment" season, I have realized how much is truly framed in a little snapshot of a video. 

Frame This Moment - Saturday Mornings

Happy Thursday!! And Frame This Moment Day!! Is anyone else getting ready for the snow/ice this weekend? Jane has her fingers crossed that we get some white fluffy snow to play in, and we are simultaneously praying that our power stays on and for everyone to stay safe and warm this weekend too!! But today's frame this moment is from last weekend, and is just the simplest little moment on a Saturday morning.

Well, before Christmas is in actual full-swing, I thought I'd share a few snapshots of some fall days the past few weeks. We have been soaking them in. The weather is by far the best part of fall in my mind, and we've been spending as much time as possible outside in the sunshine and warm air and crisp fall mornings. We have a 3 1/2 year old, who loves any and all things creative and artistic and imaginative, and an almost 16 month old, who is the sweetest and quietest little *busy* adventurer and explorer... (And a mom who loves a peaceful and simple home but is embracing the chaos and season of life we are living in 😉).

Pierce was with our church for Friday and Saturday, so the kids and I tried to have as much fun as we could and then the whole family ventured to our county fair that night before bed... Last Day, First Day and Birthdays

Goodness, it's been a big few weeks in the Riddick home, and this weekend was no exception. We celebrated Pierce's birthday on Friday, Mother's Day on Sunday, and Monday was filled with Jane's Last Day at her Mother's Day Out, Pierce's first day/move-in day to his new office, and my birthday! We are loving all the big celebrations, but looking forward to some simple days ahead as well!! I thought today I would just share a few snapshots from the last few days!
