Frame This Moment - Andy Reading

Happy, happy Thursday!!! And Frame This Moment Day!!! Today's little snapshot simply makes me smile and just captures the heart of "frame this moment" in my mind...  

As a teacher, I love so much about the month of August, but I'm not sure there is much more that makes my heart sore like this little scene here... We were in the kitchen making dinner and Andy had been pretty quiet, so I peeked around the corner to see what he was up to and saw this scene. Books upon books just sitting at his feet and him just flipping through them... It just made me smile and truly want to frame the little moment in time. I took a snapshot, but I love so much about the moment...the books he's chosen, his little criss-cross legs, him sitting independently and soaking in the colors and pictures and "stories" that he has heard, the love for reading that I hope is being planted for many years to come...

It made me think of this little picture of baby Jane doing the same...wasn't this just YESTERDAY?! 

And it made me love even more these little scenes...because I know that a big part of his love for reading is coming from his big sister... 

She has been sitting beside him reading since he was a few days old... This post of them reading together might forever be a favorite of mine... And now he's old enough to love on those books himself... Goodness, I pray their love for reading just continues to grow, and it makes me want to just soak. up. every morning, afternoon, and night where books are brought to my lap... These years are going fast, and I’m trying hard to remember and enjoy the little things and little moments of these little years...
