Friday Favorites - Snow Clothes, Winter Walks, and Living Room Forts

Aww Happy Friday!!! We are cozying up over here with the freezing weather moving in and hopefully soaking in a few more January favorites at the same time! Today I just thought I'd share a few simple joys and small favorites from our week!! I hope you are finding them in your week as well and enjoy a few of ours cozied up with a warm drink on this January morning! 

The first is these two r-e-a-d-y for the winter weather and are crossing their fingers for some snow! I had placed a Target order a week or two ago and needed to add something to make it to the minimum to ship, and I knew the perfect thing - a snow bib for Andy. I wasn't sure if we would need it, but how fun that we might! They loved trying on all the things the other morning...

And it took me back to this little 20 month old Jane trying on a snow bib in Target before a snow two Januarys ago...why does time fly so quickly?!

A second favorite has been January walks this month, and I love them even more when we get to snag a little mile while the kids are napping and we FaceTime the monitor! A favorite for sure, even in the cold! 

These three are just peas in a pod let me tell you. Jane, Andy, and I have a lot of fun throughout the day, but there's something about Daddy getting home that is just FUN. They made some "caves" and "snow forts" in the living room, and they've been a hit this week. Anything with Daddy is always a favorite!! 

Another favorite has been this helper in the kitchen AND this set of kids' knives. We ordered them a while ago, and Jane just loves any chance she gets to use them. They are perfect for cutting most things and are just easy to handle, easy to clean, and easy to use. I honestly was truly impressed by her carrot cutting this week - a win win for both of us!! 

And lastly, snow in Nashville. A forever favorite. I'm not sure how much, if any, we'll get this weekend, but I'm thankful we are all home and ready to enjoy a cozy weekend together...

To last year... we always LOVE a snowy adventure at home!! 

And this one just made me laugh about this weekend... We are praying for everyone to stay safe and warm if you're in the path of the winter storm, and here's to hoping for some fun in the snow if possible as well!! 

Pierce is supposed to be on a work trip for a good bit of next week, so with the ice and snow and possible travel, I might take a few days off to do all the mom and home things, but hopefully will pop back on here at some point with some updates as well. Jane, Andy, and I are off to clean for a bit and finish a few last minute to-dos before Daddy's home and we settle in with some hot tea, a puzzle, and I'm sure another "snow cave" or two before the winter storm comes.
