Happy Thursday, friends!! A favorite day of the week.
Three years ago, I started this little series, "Frame This Moment," after a blog I used to read in high school. She was a mom of three who had just moved to Hawaii for her husband's job and encouraged everyone to start "framing" little moments of their day, their life, their season, thanking the Lord for the little things and the joy that was all around us. It always stuck with me and documenting little "moments" every Thursday in this space has been such a blessing to me. Some weeks, I feel like I don't have a "perfect" moment to frame, but every week, I love the practice of slowing down enough to see the small things through a lens of savoring and enjoying. When I look back on these posts, I can't help but smile. There is sure a variety, but what a gift it is to see the Lord's goodness through tiny snapshots of moments in our life. You can find the very first Frame This Moment post here and all of them here, but here is the first one to kick off 2026!

This January, I have been inspired to start taking little videos of our normal day. Things that I normally wouldn't think to take a "video" of, but I find that those videos are our absolute favorite to watch of past seasons. The normal, the ordinary, the simple, the routines and rhythms that feel like they will be a part of our weeks forever, but I know one day will look different.
And on this rainy Friday morning, I took a video of Jane and Andy eating breakfast. I was making something at the stove and looked over and had to smile. Andy with his slippers Nana and Papa got him for Christmas, Jane in her precious nightgown drinking tea that she loves so very much, their little pink and blue plates, chatting about anything and everything. It just made me smile.
I tell Pierce all the time that I know I will bawl so much when we move one day from this house, and for some reason, this little breakfast nook always makes me think of that. So much life has happened in that little space, and I am trying hard to savor the different seasons of life around that table. So, here we are in January 2026, enjoying life with these two little kiddos. And when energy becomes low or it's time for another meal (how does that time always come so fast?! hahaha), it's moments like this that remind me of the joy in keeping going. The simple and ordinary breakfast together around a table on a rainy Friday.
So, there you have it, just a simple moment for your Thursday! It always makes my day when friends share their own moments to frame. Whether an email or message or text, the past three years it has been so fun to see so many different seasons and walks of life and the gift it is to slow down and enjoy. So, thanks for following along and for sharing your own too!! And as always, here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between!!
I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!!
Sending lots of love!
