Frame This Moment - Jane's Art Class

Happy happy Thursday!!! Goodness, I hope everyone had such a wonderful 4th!! We had such a great weekend up in Louisville and came back to what we didn't know would be one of the busier weeks of our summer. But I am back today to share a little Frame This Moment from this week!! A special one with Jane. 🎨💕

 

It's no surprise to anyone who knows Jane that she LOVES any and all forms of art. Painting, drawing, coloring, cutting, gluing, crafting, she is ALL about it. I am not exaggerating when I say she probably asks about drawing in some form or fashion 18 times a day hahaha 

So, when I heard about Nashville's "Little Art House," I knew we had to get Jane in there at some point for an art class. Pierce and I are always looking for little "special" things that we can do with them one-on-one, and this one seemed like a win-win-win. Pierce had to take our car in for something this week, so we planned it for the same time as a painting class, and off we went "girls with the girls and boys with the boys" as Jane loves to say. 

And let me tell you, this girl was immediately in heaven. 

They read this little book to kick it off... 

Then had the house where the painted the "house" part, sponged the roof and then stamped on the "bricks." She was pretty quiet and focused, but would look up and smile at me as she was working, and I knew she loved it haha 

She was given just a little assortment of supplies, and this little girl and her creativity took off. 

And I loved getting to sit beside her and just soak in watching it all come together. 

They handed her her project through the "mail drop," which made it all the more fun at the end 📬

Jane we love you and love watching your creativity shine!! She asked if she could put her house "in her room," and is already asking if she can go back to her next "art class." ☺️ 

A little moment in time that I for sure wanted to frame. Goodness, I love this girl and love any time I get to sneak away with her for a minute, especially doing something that I know she loves!! What a gift it is to watch her grow!! Thanks for following along and thanks for sharing your moments too!! As always, here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between!! 

Pierce and I are off on a fun little date night tonight while the kids have been COUNTING DOWN for some time with "just them" and Nana and Papa, so I am going to take tomorrow off of blogging, but I'll plan to be back here next week with some fun July snapshots and memories.
