Frame This Moment - Butterfly Rings

Happy Thursday!!! And Frame This Moment day!!! We are getting things a little more settled over here in the Riddick world... It's been full-steam ahead the past month or so, and we are loving a little time at home to catch up on all things life and work. Today I just have a little moment to share from this past weekend that sure is a sweet one!!

A sweet friend gifted Jane for her birthday a package of pipe cleaners and printed off the sweetest instructions for how to make butterfly rings. I knew it would make a sweet little project one afternoon, and when we decided to visit Nana and Papa for a few days last week, this project felt like it had Nana written all over it. My mom is as creative as they come, and her and Jane had the best time making these little rings one afternoon. Jane picked out the colors, and this little snapshot will just always be a special one. So simple and so sweet, but so special. I love that Jane takes after my mom in the creative world, and I love getting to relive my teaching days with pipe cleaners and crafts scattered throughout our days. We are already looking up all the other rings and crafts we can make with them. And I still just think it's the sweetest little gift for a three year old as well!!

Just a simple little moment to frame today!! What a special little practice to slow down enough to appreciate and soak in the small things. Thanks as always for following along in this journey, and thanks for sharing your moments too!!! I will plan to see you back here tomorrow!!

Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between!!
Sending lots of love on this Thursday!!

  1. We learned in Montessori school to make bracelets and keychains with pipe cleaners! If you use bigger beads (like pony beads), it's the perfect activity to start around Jane's age! When the motor skills (and mess) aren't quite there for little pieces of string yet. These rings are so cute, my Millie would love them!
