Happy Wednesday!!! Well, I thought today I would share a few things we have gotten off of Amazon recently... I always love these posts when other people do them, and it's been a while since my last one on here. Just a random little assortment for your Wednesday!
Well, a lot of our Amazon purchases recently have been for little birthday parties for our small group kiddos. We had two little girl birthdays - a one and three year old, and this is just my very, very favorite tiny book to gift. (Sometimes I'll add it to another slightly bigger gift, or if they've asked for "no gifts," I'll just tie it with twine around our card - either way, it's just adorable!) We always joke that we hope Michal Sparks is getting a fun bonus with how many of these I have bought/gifted hahaha We love her and we love her books! We first came across this little one because Jane's sweet cousin Lucy found it in a little neighborhood library box and SENT it in the mail to Jane, and ever since then, it's been love at first sight hahaha
Truly, just the cutest drawings, all of the words rhyme, it teaches manner, is about TEA, and there is the sweetest prayer in there too. Just adorable and probably will always be on our recent purchases until all of our friends have one I hope hahaha
The second is another little gift for a little boy - it's the perfect sized little metal school bus. I volunteered as the guest reader for Jane's preschool class around her birthday, and Andy came with me (the main highlight for everyone involved hahaha) But her sweet teacher had these metal school buses that Andy fell in love with. She let him take one home to play with for a while, and while we had it at our house, our sweet small group little boy ALSO fell in love with it hahaha So, we had to grab it for his birthday, and now Andy is hoping for his own for his birthday haha it's simple, but a favorite!!
And the last little birthday gift - This Psalms book is gift that a sweet friend gave to us when Jane was born. We love adding it as a little "prayer" before we go to sleep. It's very, very simplified Psalms, but Jane has always loved them and the drawings inside, and we love the intro into understanding the Psalms as well. It made for a great compliment to a gift recently!
These two were a little "summer gift" that we gave the kids around our beach trip. I love that they have a stainless steel and silicone straw, so there's no plastic, and they're leak proof when turned, which has been great for the car. They've been big favorites already!
Well, after watching the Plastic Detox on Netflix that a few friends had recommended, we've tried to replace the remaining things in our kitchen that we thought might need an upgrade, and our lemon squeezer fell into that category. While it wasn't exactly plastic, it did have a pretty heavy paint coating that was chipping from years of use, so we found this stainless steel one that we've loved!
We also needed an upgraded whisk, and this one has been a perfect one!
For our beach trip, I grabbed this set of pails and shovels because I wasn't sure what the house we were staying in would have, and they were perfect! The kids immediately wanted to use these shovels in Papa's sandbox as well! A perfect little summer set for sure!
Speaking of the beach, I also bought this navy hat for Andy. Jane has this brand of a white one from two summers ago, and we still love it!
And I grabbed this little rash guard shirt too for the full days of sun, and it was perfect!
Incase you needed to see any of the beach items in action 😉😂
Pierce was also looking for a pair of sunglasses for the beach, and a friend recommended this brand. Good quality at a pretty good price point, and they were a hit for our week down there!
In action 😉
Well, and also speaking of beach, I grabbed a set of these for the road trip down and let me tell you....they were a HIT. Maybe I just pulled them out at the perfect time, but these little sticks of wax delivered hahaha the kids were mesmerized and truly. played with them for so long. I had them in my classroom, and they do make fingers a little waxy, but just so worth the creativity and play that they brought to our car ride hahaha
I also grabbed a new set of these for Jane to draw with on our trip. They are her very favorite, and I love the different packs of colors and how bright and fun they make drawings!!
When the kids and I were eating lunch one day in early May, we started talking about Daddy's birthday, and I asked what they thought we should get him as a gift, and of course, Andy yelled, "BALL!" To which Jane said would actually be a really good idea because our neighbor has a basketball hoop and Daddy is always having to borrow his ball, so the idea was born, and this one is the one we landed on. I thought it was so sweet that it was truly their idea, and I think it's been played with every day since his birthday, so good gift givers they are starting to be hahaha
And lastly, I invested in this shelf for Andy's closet to house their books more efficiently. I wrote a little bit more about it in my Friday Favorites post last week, but we have loved it!!!
A favorite for sure!!
And there you have it...just a few of the random things we have gotten from Amazon recently!! What are yours?! Do you have any favorites to share?! You can find past Amazon favorites here as well. Thanks as always for following along! I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!
