Frame This Moment - Milkshakes on a Date Night

Happy, happy Thursday and Frame This Moment Day!!! Today's little snapshot in time is from a recent date night of ours, and it's just a little Frame This Moment in its simplest form... 

Now, if you know us (and know Andy), you know that date nights have been a little harder to come by over here since little Andy has been with us...and I can't say it's not for lack of trying on our part hahaha We've had a few things here and there that we have had a handful of people we love try to love on Andy, but like I said, he keeps his cards close and his inner circle even smaller hahaha But this weekend, Pierce's parents were here and they won him over for a night, so we went to dinner and then made our way to a high school favorite... Steak-n-Shake. I had three best friends in high school, and I can't even tell you the amount of times we walked to Steak-n-Shake for a little vanilla milkshake and fries. It was where we joke all of our core memories those years took place, and it felt just strolling down memory lane when we walked in. Steak-n-Shake was also the place Pierce and I went one week before we were engaged to celebrate completing a very hard school year and season, and it's just a place with a lot of sweet memories. So, we made our way there, ordered two shakes, and acted like we were back in high school for a few minutes before we made our way home to the littles that waited for us... 

Pierce, of course, had to try the claw... When we were first dating, I can't even tell you how many of these things he played. Has he ever won anything? No... Does he get it spot on every time? Yes. Is the thing rigged with loose screws? Absolutely. But does he still play anyway? Apparently... Hahhaa it bonded us with the other Steak-n-Shake goers though and made us relive some of the glory days... (If you could even say that with the current track record hahaha)

But goodness...milkshakes on a date night... A simple moment in time to frame on a seemingly ordinary night, but one that is a little sweeter when we slow down and take it all in. And that's what this season has been all about... Seeing the sweetness and good in the simple things. 

So there you have it. I can't say I recommend Steak-n-Shake all the time 😅, but if you're craving a little old school nostalgia, we definitely found it in those black and white booths...
