Frame This Moment - Claw Machine

Happy Thursday!!! And Frame This Moment Day!! Well, this one is a true frame this moment for little Jane...

 

For anyone who knows Pierce, he has been playing the "claw machine" on every date, dinner out, vacation, etc hahaha It's become a little hilarious tradition over the past ten years... 

Case in point... On a date night last fall when we stopped for milkshakes hahaha and to be honest, I'm pretty sure we have never left with anything after all of those tries... 

Well, I was out to dinner with some friends a few weeks ago and Pierce decided to take the kids out to dinner, and he sent me a little picture that Andy had WON a little mushroom 😂😅 He said he gave them each a turn and Andy had ACTUALLY gotten something... 

Well, fast forward to last weekend, when we were at said restaurant again and Jane REALLY wanted to try again so maybe she could get something... We explained that usually you might not get anything, the claw is really loose, it's just a fun game, etc.... But...to a four year old, the stakes were big hahaha 

So, Andy went first, and you won't believe it, but he ACTUALLY got something again. I think it might be the crazy fast actions and pushing of the button that confused the machine hahaha but we couldn't believe it... Jane had her turn, and the claw dropped it right before the basket... Pierce and I played (nothing)..., and then there was somehow an extra turn, we obviously gave it to Jane, and at the last second... 

The claw was in the processing of dropping it and at the same time stopped short, and it RICOCHETED off of the wall and plopped straight down into the basket... It was truly like something from Toy Story. Pierce and I could not believe it, but were obviously over the moon, and so was Jane hahaha 

These kiddos were truly just giddy the whole night over their little squishy claw toys, and it was the highlight coming home and telling all of our neighbors hahaha 

We love this girl and were so proud of how she handled both times of it not going the way she would have wanted, and it was just pure fun getting to celebrate with her something so silly and little, but so big at the same time 😂 And now we may never go back to that restaurant so we don't have to play again hahhaa 😉
