Friday Favorites - Christmas Village Edition

Aww happy FRIDAY!! I know it's still November, but I'm interrupting all the fall fun for a little Christmas Village edition of Friday Favorites this Friday. It's one of my favorite posts every year gearing up for our VERY favorite little holiday. So, it's a just a little Christmas joy for your morning!! And if you're in Nashville, I hope you'll make the special trip to Christmas Village this weekend!! It will become a favorite I know!! Hope you're cozied up with a warm drink and whether there's fall or Christmas around you, I hope it's the very best morning!! Sending lots of love this Friday! 

Ahhh, Christmas Village. A forever favorite. I have been going to Christmas Village since I was in college, and I still love it just as much as I did the first time I went. I always say this, but it truly feels like Etsy meets Hallmark, and I just don't know if you can get much better than that. There is Christmas music, there are SO many booths with homemade goodies, crafts and gifts, there is a Santa to take pictures with, there are lights and trees and decorations, and I just couldn't love it more. 

I convinced Pierce to go with me the first year we were married...and we've been going ever since... 

Last year, he even wore his little Christmas hoodie (that I got him that first year 😉), and I dare might even say that he *looks forward* to the weekend these days too... 

This will be Jane's third year going, and I think she will eat it up this year. Andy, welcome to the Christmas Village Club! It's a fun one to be in 😉😂 🎄✨

Just so merry, so homemade, so local, and I love it so very much. 

So, what could be better than Christmas Village you might ask...well, coming home and turning this place into as close to Christmas Village as I can make it... The first year we were married, I convinced Pierce to to decorate *early* because we were going out of town for Thanksgiving, and it would be so late by the time we came back home....and here we are...going on our 7th Christmas together and still decorating this sweet weekend in November... 

The Lazy Genius always refers to "opening ceremonies" for certain seasons, and this most certainly is ours, and I love it so much... 

Well, these will forever be a favorite of this weekend as well... That first year we were married, we were on such a tight budget, but I saved up a little throughout the month and tutored a little extra, and splurged on a pair of Christmas sheets, and they are still so special. They just signal Christmas, and we are ready for them!! Now to just convince Pierce that Jane and Andy absolutely need some too 😂 

Well, another fave has always been this little one at Christmas...and now we have two! 

We can't wait for Andy to experience all things Christmas and to see things through Jane's sweet toddler's eyes too... 

And lastly, just all of the favorite little things that come along with this weekend and this season...from family ornaments...
