Happy, happy Tuesday!!! Well, as the sun is shining and it's starting to warm up just a little here in Nashville, I thought it would be sweet to share a few of our snowy Jackson pics from New Years!!! ❄️ Pierce's parents spend a good bit of their year in Jackson, Wyoming, and we love making it out there when we can! You can read lots of Jackson posts here, but this was only our second time there in the winter and first time bringing two littles to a snowy state, so we learned a lot, but enjoyed our trip so much too!! Here are just a few snapshots from those few days!!
Well, meet my new favorite picture of Jane. I could frame this picture forever. If only I could just bottle up that little smile and this sweet little age forever... 💕
I also love this little fam photo too... Little Andy on Pierce's back, us all just bundled in the freezing cold, out almost at dark sneaking in our last mile to (and past) 100 miles since Andy!! What a sweet memory and a sweet place...
After Christmas in Nashville and a few days in Louisville, we packed up two suitcases, two carseats, two kiddos and lots of warm clothes and snacks 😉 and headed to Snowy Jackson for New Years! Jane was so very excited!! (My dad was a pilot for 30 years, and as she's starting to understand what that means now, she'll always ask, "Is this Papa's plane?!" Hahaha)
And after a very long (but successful!!) travel day, we landed on a snowy runway in Jackson...
It was very icy and very cold, but Jane loved getting to walk off the plane...it's always a special part about landing in Jackson!
The next morning, we did gifts and a little Christmas with CyCy and GP (where CyCy so graciously gifted the kids some warm hats and coats - a blessing for the days we were out there for sure!!) and got out to enjoy the snow and mountains!
This little one was loving all the snow!
From snow angels...
To little snow forts...
And snowmen that were much taller than she was...I think her favorite part though was "eating" the snow haha!
This little one stayed bundled and warm and napped almost the whole time, which I didn't mind at all!!
It was sweet to get a little time in with grandparents in a state and town that they have come to love so very much!
And honestly, we have to! Waking up to those mountains sure is hard to beat!!!
We went out and played in the snow as much as we could those few days!! From just pulling Jane in the sled, to walking in their neighborhood, it all felt like a winter wonderland!
We did manage to make it in town to a few sledding hills...
And as fun as Daddy is, Jane said her favorite part was "sledding with Mommy," which I consider a big win!! Hahaha
And I had to laugh...I snapped this of Pierce when we came out in 2021...
And as much fun as we had "being on the slopes" together...
Him "catching some air" sledding down on a kids' sled might have been just as fun...hahaha oh, what a different season we are in, but how sweet it is to enjoy where the Lord has us!!!
We loved that little afternoon at the sledding hills...
And our littles did too haha
It was a sweet afternoon with CyCy!
That night, Pierce and I snuck in a little "date night" walk as we were finishing my 100 mile goal, and what a sweet walk to reflect on all that 2024 held...
A neighbor had snapped this early 2024 when our neighborhood roads were ice, and we snuck out after Jane's bedtime with the monitor on Facetime to finish my "one mile a day in January goal..." So it seemed only appropriate and so full-circle to be finishing on icy streets once again...
And although our "date" didn't quite look like it did in 2021...
This one was just as sweet!!
We came back and grabbed the kiddos... "Blue bear and pink bear" as Jane liked to say...
And celebrated hitting a total of 222 miles for the year!!! 🎉 A New Years Eve for the books for sure!!
The rest of our trip was filled with sweet little moments...from Andy and GP matching!!
To Jane loving crafting with CyCy!
And as fun as traveling and adventuring with two littles can be...sometimes it also looks like this...a little one napping on you with mix-matched pajamas and socks on her hands as "mittens..."
And a little one sleeping in a carrier while you read a book...
But goodness, it's the memories that make it so special to look back on!
And we loved the time we got in the mountain air with this little family of four...
We are thankful and will always love looking back on this New Years 2024!!!
Just a few snapshots for your Tuesday!!! This holiday season sure held it's challenges with a two and a half year old and a six month old, four flights, three states, and lots of celebrations and adventures, but we feel thankful and blessed to truly be able to enjoy the little things, celebrate the big things, and soak in all the moments in-between, especially in traveling and throughout the holidays!!
Thanks for following along!! And I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!!
Sending lots of love!!!

SO amazing!! A coworker of mine just came back from Jackson last week where they went snow mobileing and dog sledding and said it was incredible and I need to add to my bucket list! When she told me the high one of the days was -20 I may be questioning if that's true though ;) Looks like you guys had an incredible time and so glad you guys got to eat snow!!! hahahah!! Millie's favorite to this day :)
ReplyDeleteAww I love this so much!!! Yes!! We have gone snowmobiling out there, and it is truly SO much fun!!! You all definitely need to go!! Dog sledding is on my bucket list too! And hahaha I know - it can be freezing, but hopefully you can time it right where it's perfect winter weather!! And that is truly amazing 😂 It continued to be her favorite even when we got snow here in Nashville 😅🥰❄️
