Happy Monday, friends!!! Today I thought I would share some of the sweet snapshots from our weekend with Pierce's brother, sister-in-law, and they're two littles... Logan, Pierce's brother, started dating Jessy, one of my sweet friends from camp, the same summer Pierce and I started dating... We got engaged a month a part, married three and five months later, and then had Jane and Lucy the same summer and Andy and Cooper two summers later. They are still some of our very best friends, so we were thrilled when they said they wanted to take their long weekend to drive to Nashville to see us!!
We bought the girls matching pajamas, borrowed an air mattress, rearranged upstairs, and took the weekend to have an early birthday celebration too for Aunt Jessy! It was a weekend for the books, and one that was just so special!!
Jane and I put up balloons and a little birthday banner and welcomed them to Nashville Thursday afternoon!
Jessy had brought the girls little Valentine's boxes and we still had leftover balloons from the weekend before...
Needless-to-say, these little girls were in heaven spending the weekend together and loved waking up in matching pjs!
They loved opening up their sweet little boxes and gifts!
And they spent the morning coloring and playing with stickers and their new goodies...
We didn't realize it at the time, but the girls both got matching scooters for Christmas, so they were so excited to scooter together in our cul-de-sac.
We had to get a girls pic that night! All the pink and red for a sweet Valentine's Day dinner!!
We loved having all eight of us around the dinner table!! Such a special memory for sure!
The sweetest little Valentine's Day!!
The next day was filled with matching bows and matching boots and rainy day trips to the library!
How is this little one getting so big so quickly?!
He loved having his buddy in town for the weekend!!!
The sweetest little duo!
Jane LOVED hanging out with little Cooper too!
Cousins are the sweetest!
We loved trying to snap a pic with all four!
We went out to dinner on the last night and had to snap a pic of these brothers accidentally matching on the way...
And then I had to document such a tragic moment of a flat tire on the way and Logan and Pierce working hard to change it in the freezing weather... They were troopers and thankfully Logan and Jessy were able to get a new tire early the next morning before they got back on the road.
We still loved celebrating with the eight of us around a table at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants that night - just reminiscing on where the Lord has brought us and all that He is doing in our lives. A favorite night for sure!
Our little introvert stayed up past everyone else that night and finally warmed up a bit to his sweet Aunt and Uncle! We love these three!
Goodness, we sure just loved spending the weekend with these special friends! We are trying hard to convince them to move to Nashville π, but until then, we love soaking up with any time we can with these two little growing families!
Thanks for following along and hope your Valentine's weekend was just as sweet! Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between! I'll plan to see you back here tomorrow!
Sending lots of love!
