Snapshots from Thanksgiving 2025

Happy, happy Wednesday!! Today I just thought I would share a few pictures and snapshots from our week of Thanksgiving.
This year, we traveled to Texas to spend some time with Pierce's family. His family has a ranch outside of San Antonio, and Pierce and I have been going to that ranch since the first year we were dating...
It's held many a memories for us over the past ten years...
We loved getting to take little Jane a few times when she was little...
And this year was little Andy's first time as well... Crazy to be back there with two littles...and even crazier I know for Pierce who has been coming since he was the little one! Haha
We packed up on Tuesday, had our sweetest neighbor drop us off, and we were on our way!
Everyone was excited to be back in traveling mode!
And OF COURSE we had to stop and get a picture by the Christmas tree... She's turning into my little Christmas buddy, and I couldn't love it more!!!
We got there a little later, ate dinner, stopped for a few groceries, and made our way through the hour drive to get to the ranch. Jane immediately found some cowboy boots on a shelf that she claimed for the week 😂 And the kids were settling in quickly with lots of toys and books!
The next day we made our way back to San Antonio to grab Pierce's brother and sister-in-law and cousins at the airpot and made a quick pitstop at a "construction site" that Pierce and his dad have been working on, and my were the kids excited!
We've read lots of construction books since Andy has come along, and they were so excited to see so many machines in real life...
Two peas in a pod right here...also, please note Jane's cowboy boots that went with her everywhere this week 😉
Andy was loving it!!
And Jane and I liked soaking it all in too!!
Later that day though, the besties were back together!!!
Jane and Lucy have been loving on each other at the ranch since before they could walk, and it was sure sweet to see them back together again!
Pierce's parents put together a hayride for everyone for the week, and it was definitely a highlight!
GP gave us the tour around the ranch...
We drove through the cow fields...
While Andy waved to every cow he saw...
He was loving it and we were loving watching him!! So sweet!
A day for the books for sure!
The littlest cousin Micah joined later that night!!
A true little doll!!!
The next day the kids were up and at'em and ready for the day!
Pierce's sister brought her dog 'Ru' and Andy was just in heaven!
Truly...I lost count how many hugs he gave her throughout the week hahaha it was so sweet every time though! ...even Jane started to warm up to her after she saw Andy loving on her so much, which is honestly amazing if you know Jane and her feelings about dogs...haha
Meanwhile the girls loved bouncing in the newest addition to the ranch - a little bounce house!
Fun Aunt Kelsea getting in on the jumping!
The boys jumped too, but why go in the bounce house when sticks are just so much more fun?! 😅
While the boys hung...
The girls chitchatted in their beds for a bit while we waited for all the festivities of the meal...
Babies all accounted for haha
The boys found the old school toys also...this piano was too much fun!!
Everyone got ready for lunch and all the extended family in town too - Micah was ready!!
We hung outside for a bit more after lunch...
The boy cousins had to get a pic!
And we of course had to take a hayride with all the cousins! GP and CyCy and their five grandkids in three and a half years!
We snapped a little pic at the end of the day, and you can tell sweet little Andy is wearing down...he came down with a good little sickness later and most of our Thursday night and Friday were spent nursing him back to health, which wasn't how we saw the week going, but we are thankful he bounced back pretty quickly considering all the travel and the busy week...
CyCy had planned her second "Jack Ranch Amazing Race" for the day though... (You can read all about the first one here.)
And we had a lot of fun, but as you can see, our attention was a little split as we had a sweet little third team member that did the race with us...
Poor little buddy was on one of our shoulders the whole time, but we all made the most of it while laughing that Andy has spent a good bit of his life being our little third team member haha We had a fire that night with s'mores and lots of craziness and sweetness with the kids...
The next morning the girls had story time and coffee with GP upstairs...
And were soooo sad to say goodbye at the airport later that morning...these two little ones really are besties!
And this little buddy slept almost the whole way home... (Beekeeper's lollipop in hand and all...😉)
We sure missed his smile those last two days, but are so glad he's back to normal and thankful for a few sweet snapshots of the week for sure!

What a trip and Thanksgiving break for the books! We are thankful for family and thankful for the ranch and all the memories it holds!! Thanks for following along and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!!!

I'll plan on being back here tomorrow!
Sending lots of love!

  2. Oh what sweet memories were made. I love how close they all are in age. Side note: Has anyone ever told you that your mother-in-law looks like Reba McEntire? She is beautiful.

    1. Oh I was just thinking about you the other day as I was writing my giveaway post and remembering drawing your name a few years ago!! So fun to see your name!! But ok YES hahaha she DOES get that quite often. Especially when she is here in Nashville visiting. We were at the Apple store a few years ago, and the employee definitely thought he was helping Reba 😉 They also went to a show of hers a few years ago and got to take a picture with her - the resemblance is definitely very similar! Oh but thanks for your sweet comment!! Hope you all are doing well!!
