Happy Thursday and Frame This Moment Day! Today's post is a fun little moment from this past weekend and a favorite memory for sure!

My family has been watching the show "Survivor" since I was in 3rd grade... I remember looking forward to "Thursday nights" because we would all cozy around and turn on a little fun family show. I'm positive I did not know the ins and outs of what was going on in the show back then, but I loved that it meant watching something with the family.
Well, fast forward to 2026, and Season 50 is premiering in a few weeks (now on Wednesday nights haha). Pierce didn't watch it growing up, and I took several years off during college and after, but a few years ago, we picked it back up and it's been a fun little show to follow along with. Jane and Andy will sometimes "start" it with us before they go to bed, and we fast forward to let them watch a challenge, which they love so much.
So, when we heard Survivor was "hiding an idol" in all 50 states, we kept an eye on where it might be in Tennessee. Whoever "finds" the idol in each state gets entered to win tickets to their live finale in LA in May. And last weekend, when we learned that it was going to be at a park nearby, we decided we had to just go and see.
We packed up the kids, the stroller, and some snacks, stopped to get two little balls on the way, and made our way on Valentine's Day to the Parthenon.
Now, it's not a "first come first serve," it's simply if you find it, take a picture, and upload it in the allotted time frame in that state then you are entered to win. So, as you can imagine, there was quite of a bit of a line waiting to "find" it. π But the kids were amazing and LOVED the pond with all of the ducks and geese as we waited.
And I loved doing it with this guy. He acted like he didn't love it, but I know secretly he did π hahaha the lyrics to Thomas Rhett's, "The Things You Do For Love," were periodically being sung throughout the day hahahah but it was just a FUN afternoon! Something fun and new that's a little adventure as a family and outside at a park? Sign us up!
We made it to the next clue, got our wristbands, and then were in search for the next clue and idol.
Now, after this, the next "line" to get your picture taken was a bit long for us and the kids had done such a great job waiting already, so we skipped getting in line and let the kids just PLAY for a long while in the park. It was such a highlight of the day. We ran, we played, we got some sunshine, and by the time they were ready for a little break, they hopped back in the stroller, got a snack, and we got in a much shorter line to finish the day.
Someone had printed and laminated a little "Jeff Probst," the host of Survivor, picture and was passing it back through the line.
See? Totally enjoying the day hahaha
We finally made it to the "idol" and snapped a pic with the fam! I told Jane she could "hold" the idol for the picture if she wanted, and she was quiet as a mouse until a few minutes later when she asked to see the picture. She pointed at the "pole" beside her head and said, "That was going into my head." Hahahaha Sweet girl just took the picture politely and then mentioned it later. We still laugh about that the part of the picture π
But it was a fun day and one for the books! We got to meet a few of the players, and it just felt like a moment to frame for sure! The odds are very slim that we will be going to LA in Mayπ, but it was an adventure that the kids loved and a fun way to spend our Saturday afternoon for sure!
Aww a little adventurous Frame This Moment for your Thursday! Thanks as always for sharing yours and for following along in this journey as well!! Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between!
I'll plan to see you back here tomorrow!
