Friday Favorites - Valentine's Bows, Crafts, and Winter Olympics

Happy FRIDAY!! My, are we always glad to see the weekend, but this one feels a little sweeter. It's been a busy and full week over here for us, but we have been thankful for a "normal" week so to speak. Jane and I have been loving all things pink and red and Andy even made a little craft this week that he is SO proud of. We're looking forward to the weekend with some family time, some times with friends, and a little football to end the season too. Thought I'd share just a few simple joys from our week - I hope you are finding them throughout yours as well!! 

The first favorite has to be Valentine's Day bows. I think bows are the best all year round, but there is something just SWEET to me about a pink, red, and heart filled bow. Jane has been loving hers this year, and I love the fun it adds each day. I got this sweet one here, and love this little Etsy shop for so many seasonal ones! 

Number two is Jane crafting away. This girl could craft all day every day, and for Valentine's Day, I found a few extra wooden hearts that I had leftover from my teaching days, and this girl got to work. She loved every second and had a person in mind for each heart she painted. I told her we could add some jewels and a pin on the back and give them as little gifts. When I was teaching, all the kids made these for their moms for Valentine's Day, and they were just so sweet and special! After a day of painting and creating and making a list of everyone she wanted to give a heart to, she said, "I feel so happy!!" Hahaha if that doesn't sum up an artist, I don't know what does haha

Number three. The places I find balls in my house currently. Hahaha everywhere I turn, I think Andy has had fun playing "basketball" at some other place in our home. Pierce told me this was the life of a boy - turning everything in sight into a "basket." ⛹🏼‍♂️

Case in point. 😂 A favorite though!! 

Speaking of this little boy, he sure is a FAVORITE and days with him are a favorite too!! Of course, he's your classic 19 month old boy and into. everything. but he has the sweetest demeanor, and I love a few extra hours with him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Andy, your joy is contagious!! 

And lastly, the Winter Olympics! We are so looking forward to watching as much as we can possibly fit in to these busy days, but Jane is already excited to watch "ice-skating," and I have a feeling both her and Andy are going to be into watching these amazing athletes this year! It's always a favorite for us!!
