Friday Favorites - Roses, Valentine's Dates, and Quiet Mornings

Happy, happy Friday!!! We are looking forward to this weekend and can't believe we are closing in on the end of February...it has felt like it has flown by. The other thing that has felt like it has flown by has been the Olympics!! We are going to be sad that the Closing Ceremony is on Sunday...We have just loved, loved, loved watching it this year. The kids have loved it, we've loved it, we've stayed up way too late and have been way too invested at times, but what a fun few weeks it's been! Today I just have a few simple joys for your Friday! Little snapshots and fun that this week held! I hope you've been finding them in your own week as well! Here are just a few of ours!

Well, this was maybe my favorite moment of the whole week. Pierce surprised Jane on Friday with her very own Valentine's Day rose, and I'm not sure I've ever seen her face light up like it did when he gave it to her haha she loved it so much, and I am positive that it was a favorite for her last week 💕
We have loved watching these beautiful flowers open up the way they have though all week! A favorite for sure.

Well on Friday night, Pierce and I got to sneak away to a little "Bring a date for free" class where I do Pilates. Workout clothes, water bottles, and just twelve hours later than our old routine of a morning workout together! We loved it!
He did great, and it was fun to get away for a minute and show him the ropes...literally in some ways on those Pilates reformers 😉
We snuck in a little casual dinner date on the way home, and loved this fun little pre-Valentine's date night!

Another favorite this week has been the mornings I've gotten with hot tea and my 1 Samuel study
I love the way Wiersbe's studies break down Scripture so easily, and I've loved this one all the same!!

This little buddy... There are many times in the house where it is quiet, and we all say/think, "What is Andy doing?" ...and I would say it's a toss up between finding him like this...and finding him into something he definitely shouldn't be hahaha
But this. is definitely my favorite. Especially when he took time to put a blanket around himself hahaha I hope he always has a love for reading!

And lastly, it's hard to believe, but next week will mark FIVE years of this little Riddick Family Blog... It's still such a favorite for me and has blessed us in so many ways over the past five years. I thought it would be fun to celebrate with a little Q&A, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave them here! :)

And that about does it for a few favorites over here. Jane, Andy, and I are off to get our house put together and clean for the weekend, and you'll find us cozied watching as much Olympics as we can this weekend! Thanks for following along and thanks Erika and Andrea for the fun blog link-up too!

I'll plan to see you back here next week!
Sending lots of love!!! 💕❤️
