Frame This Moment - Watching Out the Window

Happy Thursday, friends!! Well, we are finally back over here and are so thankful. Pierce has recovered, Jane is 100%, my back is almost there, and our backlog of laundry and house chores are slowly getting checked off as well. Thank you for your sweet and kind check-ins on us last week as well and for celebrating five years of blogging! So fun!! I thought I'd jump back on today for a little Frame This Moment on this Thursday!
I captured this little snapshot one morning last week when Pierce was gone. We always laugh that our cul-de-sac has more than enough entertainment daily for these two littles. From Daddy leaving, our neighbors walking dogs, the mailman, the garbage truck, the recycling truck, not to mention anyone getting a delivery, strollers out, walkers, etc. They LOVE watching out our windows, and on this particular day, we were sitting at the table when we heard the "beep beep beep" of a truck backing up. Jane and Andy looked at each other, and within half a second were both bouncing down and running to the window. And sure enough, they made it just in-time for the garbage truck outside our house. I followed them over and had to grab my phone and snap this picture because it was just too sweet. These littles are besties and watching them get excited over the "little" things just makes me smile.

From waving, saying thank you to the mailman, greeting guests, and saying goodbye to Daddy as he leaves, these front windows sure have seen a lot of activity over the past few years!
From babies...
...to toddlers.
Little Andy...
...and baby Jane.
Greeting guests...
And SO excited when they're here hahaha
We will just be over here continuing to enjoy the world of entertainment and fun that a view from the window gives hahaha A little frame this moment and walk down memory lane at the same time on this Thursday. My very favorite!

Thanks as always for following along and sharing your moments too!! Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between!

Sending lots of love!!

  1. Ok I just have to add to my favorite views of little heads peeking out the windows with a funny story! We are *very* slowly introducing the potty as he seems interested and this morning we sat on the potty (didn't go) until we heard the trash truck. He ran over nakey to go look at the window on his tip toes and peed all over the wall hahahahaha prior to that little accident, it was definitely a hilariously cute little view!!

    1. Ohhh my goodness I love this story!!! Hahahhaah first, way to go G for using the potty!!!! (Andy thinks it's just about the coolest thing in the world because Jane does it haha), but oh man, that story is a great one. The garbage truck gets them every time!! Hahaha Can't wait to hear how the training goes though! You'll have to send all your tips!

  2. Such a sweet post! Our oldest and her family live almost five hours away and when we arrive our Littles (our granddaughters) are always waiting at the window for our arrival! We usually visit for several days and our mornings have always begun at that front window, too. We have to see what the birds and squirrels are up to and I'm always amazed at how this quiet time each day is already teaching so many lessons. Their observation skills and their comfort in "being still" grow steadily and I cherish our conversations at that window. Of course, the same routine occurs near the end of the day when they wait faithfully for daddy to come home, too! The photos of your sweet little ones are precious and filled with moments to treasure!

    1. Oh, Laura, I love this so much! It sounds very much like when our Nana and Papa come to visit as well!! I love how you put into words too all that the littles are learning as they look out the window and watch. It's so very true, and I love those little teachable moments throughout the day for sure. Daddy coming home is definitely a favorite every day ❤️ Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment, and I love hearing about your granddaughters as well!! 💕🥰
