Happy Wednesday!! I thought I'd jump on board the Let's Look for today talking about our favorite family vacations.
I wrote a post on a few of our favorite trips a few years ago, and you can find that here. Those are all still very much favorites for us, but here are just a few favorite family vacations for us from the last few years.
Even though with two littles (and a few with a very small baby), those "vacations" oftentimes do feel more like "trips." However, even with the energy, capacity, insane effort and good bit of exhaustion that it takes 😉, they are very much worth it for sure. We look back and just treasure the memories, whether a quick car ride or a few plane flights away... It always feels special to get out of town for a few days with our favorites.
Jamaica was definitely a favorite, even though it had some high highs and low lows hahaha
This trip was the first one that Jane learned what a "sprained ankle" felt like, and trying to get a toddler and 11 month old to sleep in a new place with lots to see and pure exhaustion mixed in isn't my favorite way to spend a vacation, but we still have fond memories of this beautiful place!!
Chattanooga was a special trip that just the four of us took to celebrate Jane's birthday last year and Daddy's new job and make the most of a little time off in-between. It may have just been a short car ride away, but truly, we all still talk about how fun and special this trip was. Jane, in particular, still raves about the "mini fridge" that was in our hotel room hahaha
This beautiful beach is forever a favorite for us. My parents have been coming here for many years, and every time we get to join them, it truly feels like such a treat. In 2024, we went for a few days before Hurricane Helene rolled in...
And last summer, we got to enjoy so many summer days of perfect sunshine!
2023 was filled with all the best September sunsets!
And 2022 marked this little cutie's first trip to the beach!
Andy's first little trip was to Jackson, WY a few months into life. We originally had said "probably not" to this trip with Andy being so young, but then decided to brave it and our little buddy had a sweet week out there!
Belize was definitely the most unique vacation and will always hold a special place for us!
We spent five nights on that little catamaran right there, and my what an adventure it was!
Soaking up that Caribbean air will forever be a favorite!
Getting to see and experience all the New York fun with family was just too great!
Pierce and I still look back on travel without our littles as some the sweetest memories...
Including our very first trip as "The Riddicks" to St. Kitts and Nevis...
But bringing these two littles along sure does add to the fun and joy and makes these trips and vacations sure feel a whole lot more like a "family vacation." 😉 We love our home and life in Nashville, but we definitely feel so blessed when we get to travel and spend so much time with family, experiencing new things, and soaking up other places. We are looking forward to many more in the future!!
Thanks as always for following along and thanks Shay and Erika for the fun blog link-up! You can find lots of other travel posts here as well. Here's to seeing new places and making the most of traveling with toddlers!
I'll plan to see you back here tomorrow!
Sending lots of blessing!
