April 5th 🌷 Happy Easter and Happy Birthday, Jane!

Well, we just had the sweetest possible weekend over here... April 5th happened to fall on Easter Sunday this year, and what a gift to get to celebrate Jesus' resurrection along with sweet Jane turning FOUR.
Jane is an easy little one to celebrate, and this year, she insisted that she just wanted Mommy, Daddy, and Andy there to celebrate her birthday. (We ended up asking Papa and Nana down for a birthday dinner that night as well.) But it was sure a sweet and special day!
Even though we weren't having a party, I still wanted it to feel special, so a little tradition is to head to the our sweet little balloon shop and pick out some balloons, I had ordered some Easter plates, a table cloth, and a favorite little Etsy shop made her a special little Easter birthday banner!
Jane helped me ice and decorate the cake (I had grand dreams of turning her cake into an Easter egg, but this is where we landed, and later I heard her telling a neighbor that she had an "Easter egg cake," so I will take it! Hahaha)
We had two gifts out for her, and let me tell you, these were the "theme" of the day hahaha She has been telling us since I think August, that she really was hoping for "a doll with hair" and "shoes with heels" for her birthday. If you've talked to Jane in the past month, there's about a hundred percent chance that you have heard these two phrases hahaha It's the sweet little things like that of a birthday that just make it fun!!
And even though we weren't having a little party, I still put up her first three birthday pictures because they just make me smile!
Her third birthday feels like just yesterday!!
And here we are with number four...
We still had their Easter eggs up, and we added a little table cloth to the living room too!
Along with some fresh flowers...
(That Jane helped me pick out at Trader Joe's after school... This little mini cart was the obviously the highlight the trip hahaha)
It was a special little day indeed!
Because it landed on Easter this year, we had this sweet little box out too.
I had gotten it from this sweet Etsy shop, and we loved having it to tell the story of Easter and be able to "show" it as well.
We started out with some birthday pancakes with sprinkles (this is Jane trying to share her sprinkles with Andy hahaha ...pretty much sums it up right there haha)
Birthday hugs all around!!!
We got ready and headed to church for the sweetest Easter service. I snapped this on the way to the car... (Please note the now four year old chewing gum from church πŸ˜‰ hahaha)
Someone offered to take a pic of all of us...
And I snagged one with the birthday girl as well!! I love you, Jane!
We stopped at the bagel shop for lunch!
And this little one was SO ready to open a few gifts...
The rest of the day is pretty much summed up by "shoes with heels and a doll with hair" hahaha
She was just SO thrilled to get these little shoes with heels and truly has barely taken them off since this moment...
And this moment might just be a forever favorite... She has been asking and hoping and waiting and for SO long now for "a doll with hair" and her little eyes and smile just say it all....
I'm not sure I've seen her in love with something more since her baby doll from her first birthday....
Meet my newest most favorite picture... This is four year old Jane just in the purest form. A doll with hair and shoes with heels...
She very quickly introduced her to her "little sister."
And shortly after this picture, she quietly took a breath and said, "I have two babies now..." like it was just hitting her hahahaha I recall a similar moment back in June 2024 that I experienced hahahah
Sweet Jane is one of the best little mommies we know!
If you're looking for her in the coming weeks, you can find her here... (Wearing her shoes with heels of course as well!)
She played all afternoon with her favorite things and as she added four candles to her cake, she *really* did not want any singing, so we said Happy Birthday!!
And just like that...this little one is FOUR. Jane, we love you and loved a day to celebrate you!!
After some crafting with Nana, a Mediterranean Bowl dinner that she had requested, and a special gift that Nana and Papa brought down that I have a feeling is going to be a favorite this summer🚲πŸ₯°, I had to take this little picture before bed. It just made me smile. All cozied with her babies reading a book. This is four. And I couldn't love it moreπŸ₯°

Jane, we LOVE you and loved celebrating you on this April 5th!!! What a sweet and special Easter!!!

Thanks for following along and celebrating alongside us. We are so thankful! In the midst of a lot of sweet this weekend, we have also been praying for Pierce's granddad who was recently admitted to the hospital. I am going to take the rest of the week off of blogging as we figure out next steps in traveling and being with family, but I'll be back as soon as I can with more little snapshots and some life lately as well.

Sending lots of love today!
And as always, here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between! πŸ’•
