Kentucky State Fair 2026 🎡

Happy, happy Tuesday!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! We loved getting to spend it up in Louisville and loved even more a day spent at the fair! 🎡 The kids were troopers and loved just about every part, and we made some sweet memories too as we come close to closing out this summer! 

Pierce and I both said that we were sore from the amount of steps we got in that day, and we always comment on how impressed we are with Papa and Nana keeping up with these littles too on days like this!

When we first walked in, Andy and Jane couldn't believe that they got to watch the border collies and ducks, which was a treat for sure. 

Then, we were off to see the pigs. First things first after reading Charlotte's Web this summer 😂

Pigs - check! Even some baby piglets, which was fun to see for sure! 

We had to take a picture with the sign of course!! 

We are thankful Nana and Papa let us crash their day at the fair!! 

And I loved spending it with this guy too!! 

We made our way outside and the carousel was the first thing that we saw! 🎠  

And Nana and Jane had so much fun on the first ride of the day!! 

Andy opted to stay with Papa, but these two loved it! 

Then we were off to the helicopters! Jane has been talking about getting back on this ride for so long, so we were thankful it was there! 

And she couldn't believe that she got the same color again!! 

Meanwhile, Pierce took Andy to play this fishing game, and let me tell you, he was in heaven hahaha 

I think he could have stayed here all day and been happy as a clam hahaha 

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day from Nana, but we all played a little water shooting game, and Jane got to pick out the prize after Andy had just gotten his doggie, and goodness, was she excited. 

I'm not sure I've ever seen a more "fair" picture than this hahaha they were both very much excited for their little prizes!! 

Then it was Nana and Daddy's turn for a ride! See them there on the left? This was the only time the whole day where I was nervous for a split second about their safety hahaha especially when they were upside down at the top held in by a shoulder strap.... 

But, they survived and loved it hahaha 

Then it was Andy's turn for a ride and even though neither kid was technically tall enough, they let both go with Daddy and Nana, and Andy came alive hahaha 

He giggled the WHOLE way down and then at the end stood up and tackled Jane with an excited "wasn't that FUN?!" hug hahaha 

Which led them to our next ride...the only one that Andy was actually tall enough to ride the whole day hahaha

To which he was VERY excited about haha 

It sure was sweet seeing them up there and probably my favorite place in the whole fair because everyone was just cheering on their littles on their first fair ride ever haha so sweet!! 

Jane rode her car ride that she had remembered from last year, and Andy is still asking when he can do "car ride" hahaha maybe next year!! 

Then Mommy and Daddy took a little ferris wheel ride! 

Loved getting to sneak in a little ride with him! 

And loved getting to see the whole park too from the top! 

Papa and Pierce HAD to get their basketball shots in!

To which Andy thought was just about the coolest thing ever to watch hahaha 

And Nana and Pierce used the last few tickets for one last final ride before we went inside!! 

These littles were tired, but still ready to see all that inside had to offer!!

I mean, can you even?! Hahaha 

The Louisville Police Department puts on "Safety School" for the kids every year, and I remember doing it as a kid and loving it. They have red lights and green lights and stop signs. They go over "rules" of the road, and then the kids go through the course. 

Andy of course wanted to be out there, with a little help from Daddy. 

And Jane wasn't quite big enough to reach the pedals last year, but was cautiously going through the course this year. 

They give them their "drivers license" when they finish the course, and the whole thing is just so fun and sweet! 

We of course had to walk through the quilts with Nana!! Her very favorite. 

And then Jane and I found a new favorite too - the doll houses. This Christmas sewing shop was just about the cutuest thing!! 

Can you believe this is all miniature?! Too cute!!! 

And then we ended up at the fair on the day of the roses, and my goodness, they were BEAUTIFUL!!! 

Just incredibly beautiful! And everything you could ever want to know about growing roses right there too... I couldn't believe they were only in the fair a few hours. So, so pretty! 

And then it was finally time to make our way to the car, and these kiddos were worn. out. Hahaha 

We are so thankful for all the fun we got to have and the memories we got to make though. Kentucky State Fair, you were a good one this year!!
