The Riddick Home - Our Updated Living Room

Happy Monday!! Today's a big day!!! After several, several weeks of this living room being under "construction," we finally have this little room mostly put back together. I wish I could open my doors and actually have you in for a cup of tea by the fire, but I thought welcoming you all in via this blog is the next best thing...

So, I hope you settle in on this cozy Monday morning and enjoy a little update of the Riddick Home!!!

Homemade Hobby Horses

Happy Thursday!! We are loving this week over here and are soaking in the cozy weather while putting our house back in order getting ready for family in town...
Today I thought it would be fun to share the Hobby Horses, or Stick Horses, that I've made the last several years for our school. I know many have sewing machines and whether for a costume or a gift or just for fun, these are so fun and so simple to make. And honestly, even if you don't have a sewing machine, you can use sticky tape or even hot glue and come out with the same little horse!! They are so cute and fun and always a hit with the kids!!

A Favorite Baby Gift - Homemade Burp Cloths

Happy Thursday!! How is this week flying by?! Hope you all are enjoying the start of August!! It's always such a busy month for us with four family birthdays, three anniversaries and this year two big trips with Jane!! We are soaking up every minute though and excited for the cooler weather that's hopefully coming soon!

Today I thought I'd share a little project that is a fun one for any baby shower/gift. One of my best friends made us these sweet homemade burp cloths at our shower in February. Her and her mom make them for all of the new babies in their family, and we were so excited that they included us in their tradition!!

They quickly became our favorite burp cloths, so when our little niece Lucy was born, I knew I had to make them some!

Photo Cubes

Happy Thursday!! Today I thought it would be fun to talk about these sweet Photo Cubes that are so fun to make!! I found the idea right before Father's Day and decided to give it a try to give to Pierce for his desk at work. He had mentioned wanting a few pictures of us and Jane, but he is so creative and loves things that are unique, so I thought these would be perfect!
