Goodness, this weekend was one filled with so much balancing a lot of joy and so much heartbreak...
We had a really sweet time with the kids in Louisville and they didn't know any different other than a fun few days at Nana and Papa's, but our hearts were breaking for so many families in Texas and also a tragic lake accident of a three year old little girl who was a cousin of a sweet family at our church. It all just hit a little too close to home, and we spent a lot of time praying and trying to process all that happened. My heart is still heavy, and as I'm unpacking and getting kids down for nap and catching up on laundry, I am still trying to balance the good and the hard. I am hugging our little ones a little extra this week, praying for so many families, and trying to draw near to the Lord as I know He draws near to the brokenhearted.
If you're looking for a little lightness in your morning through all the heavy, I posted a little update of our Summer of "Letter" Fun here. Hopefully just a little bit of joy in the midst of a lot of sorrow this week.
I will continue to pray for everyone who is in the very midst of heartbreak and loss this week, and as always, I consider it the biggest privilege to be able to pray specifically or talk about Jesus in any way. Please never hesitate to reach out.
Sending so much love and so many prayers,
Tabitha
