Friday Favorites - Frozen Blueberries, Little Pools, and Organized Pantries

Happy, happy FRIDAY!!! Oh, we are so glad it's the weekend over here!!! It's been a busy and full week, but we are so happy to have Daddy back home and are looking forward to the next few days of fun and rest and play. We have our small group coming over on Sunday for a little summer lunch and are just working our way through our little list of Summer Letter Fun as well. These are the days, and we are trying hard to soak them up. :) Here are just a few simple joys from our week over here. Hope you are finding them in yours as well!!! And here's to wishing everyone the very best Friday and weekend too!! 

Goodness, the first is this little kid and his love for frozen blueberries. He has watched his sister's love for this little simple snack and it has now grown to be a favorite of his as well. Mix in the new found independence and LOVE for using kitchen utensils and his constant laughter and you have this beautiful scene. 

Andy, we love you! You bring so much laughter and joy to our meals!! 

Well, this little scene has been a favorite this week... Between the water table, little pool, and slide (and the hose haha) they have been keeping us afloat this week with the hot... 

Jane was so excited to "have a pool" just like Papa and Nana hahaha 

We had a few sweet friends over this week and were laughing about how small it was for so many littles, but they didn't seem to mind at all, and we loved the morning spent together!! A favorite for sure!! 

Well, at the beginning of this week, I went to grab something out of our pantry and realized that it needed desperate help in there... It's a small space that's technically the closet under our stairs and mainly our laundry room. We have made it work doubling as our "pantry" too, but it's a tight space and had just gotten a tiny bit overfilled... 

So I quickly grabbed some little bins that came that afternoon (how insane is that haha)

And spent a little bit of nap time revamping a bit. It's far from perfect, but it's much more manageable in there now... When we first moved in, this space was one of the first I worked on, and it came a long way in a short amount of time, but I'm itching for a little home project and think this one might make the list soon... Just for a little walk down memory lane... 

This was that space when we moved in...it's a small space, but with a little paint and creativity... 

We turned it into this... Which worked well for a little while...but that "pantry" soon started overflowing... 

We were on a tight budget, and I remember measuring and finding this little shelf on Ikea. I showed it Pierce, to which he said, "I could make that." 

And to all of our surprise 😉, a few days later he actually had!! Hahaha we laugh about this all the time. Pierce isn't a carpenter, but he's sure handy and this shelf has been holding strong for four years now!! 

I'm dreaming of a beautiful walk-in pantry one day, but until then, we are so grateful for the space we have, making the most of it (thanks to Pierce's handiwork and little amazon bins), and brainstorming how to design this space to be a little more fun for our season right now! A favorite for sure!! 

This week held some little favorite snapshots while Daddy was gone... this kid might have kept me up for the first time in forever, but he was all smiles the next day hahaha 

Jane has been LOVING her scooter these days... 

We had our favorite little "Thursday morning breakfast" that I wrote about here... 

And this sweet note I found in my Bible was the best little favorite.

Which leads me to, having Daddy home! He got back after the kids were asleep, and Jane was SO excited to see him the next morning!! The cutest little scene ever hahaha

We are all so glad he's back home!! The kids and I had fun, but it's always better when Pierce is around!
