What's Up Wednesday [July 2025]

Happy Wednesday!!! I cannot believe we are already in the last week of July... HOW?! This summer has been flying by, and I have decided to continue to call August SUMMER over here, so we can continue to soak in all the sunshine and fun that these past two months have held. I thought today I would jump onto this blog link-up and share just a little about our month of July! It's been a fun one!! Here are just a few little snapshots and updates. :) 

What We've Been Eating:

Well, "Chipotle bowls" as we call them have been on our menu recently, and they are a HIT. They're fresh, they're amazing, the kids love them, and they're so simple to make!! A favorite of July for sure. 

Another thing that has been on our menu has been putting some extra smoothie in our little Ninja Creami containers... 

And the next day, we have a perfectly made "smoothie bowl," or "smoothie ice cream" as Jane likes to say haha so, so yummy!!! 

What We're Reminiscing About:

Pierce and I came across this picture the other day and SIX years ago, we took a little mid-July trip to visit my sister working at camp and stopped at "Pal's," which Pierce's business professor would always rave about. WHY do we look like babies?! Such a sweet memory and so much life lived since then!! 

What We're Loving:

Lots and lots of reading over here these days, and I just LOVE it. 

This little girl's love for reading is starting to rub off on her little brother for sure!! 

What We've Been Up To:

This Summer Letter of Fun has been on our refrigerator all summer and has just truly made the summer FUN. We look at it all the time and it really has given us so many sweet and fun ideas to fill our evenings and weekends with. I'm not sure who in the family has loved it more, it's just been a hit all around!

And Picking Blueberries, it really has made it fun to document a few "little things" that add up in the summer. 

What We're Dreading:

Does taking a new license picture count? Hahaha "Picture days" have just never been my favorite... 

What We're Working On:

Well, DADDY has been trying to learn to french braid Jane's hair, and it is truly the sweetest little favorite for BOTH of them!! 

What We're Excited About:

Jane is definitely hoping to get a few more swims in this summer and is always VERY excited about them!! 

What We've Been Watching/Reading:

We watched Quarterback this summer and still have the same love for Kirk Cousins (and Julie!!) that was forged in the first season haha bring on the fall football, we are ready for you!! Jane is also counting down till "pizza and Survivor night," and we are looking forward to Amazing Race too!

What We've Been Listening To:

Goodbye Yesterday by Elevation Music has been by far the most requested song of July over here... Jane loves it, Andy immediately dances, it's a fun one for sure! 

What We've Been Wearing:

Jane wears her watch almost every day, and I love it so much 😂 

What We're Doing This Weekend:

Well, we are trying to make it up to celebrate this quilt-loving Nana's BIRTHDAY!

What We're Looking Forward To Next Month:

Well, this little cutie is begging to go back to her little preschool class, and as much as Andy and I are going to miss her, we're excited for her too!! 

What We're Thankful For:

These two littles and this summer. 

Just has been one of the very sweetest seasons, and we are so grateful!!
