Friday Favorites - Birthday Breakfasts, Solar Eclipses, and Simple Mornings

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! It's been a sweet week of celebrations over here, but we are looking forward to the weekend!! We have a little road trip on the books for later today and are excited to head to one of our favorite little cities!! Jane and I made yesterday our cleaning day, so we are off to pack and enjoy this sunny weekend!! I just have a few little favorites for your Friday! I hope you've been finding simple joys in your days as well!! Here are a few favorites from ours! 

Last Friday morning, we snuck out to our favorite little neighborhood bagel shop for a sweet morning with the birthday girl! 

Getting to have breakfast out with Mommy and Daddy was definitely a treat and just as much a favorite for us as for her!! 

We woke her up with balloons and a few surprises, and as you can tell, it was a very exciting morning over here 😉 

We got to spend the rest of the morning at a kid's gymnastics gym, and let tell you, Jane was in heaven!!

To trying the balance beam and sliding in the block pit, she loved every minute of that fun little birthday surprise, and I still can't believe how old she is getting... We love this first week in April and how fun it is to squeeze in all the celebrations we can!!

Well, in 2017, these two babies got to watch the Total Solar Eclipse in Nashville with my entire 2nd grade class. Trying to make sure 20 seven and eight year olds kept their glasses on and didn't look at the wrong time was a bit stressful at times, but this sweet pic is definitely a fun memory!!

Fast forward almost seven years later, and I was trying to make sure a little toddler kept her glasses on, but we were loving it all the same 😂 We weren't totally in the path of totality this time, but it was still just as fun to spend an afternoon soaking up the experience! 

Well, who can even believe that we are already 32 weeks over here?! The countdown has officially begun, and we can't wait to meet this little one! We are definitely praying our way through this last trimester, but I am so thankful for the many blessings of the last eight months!! I think Jane has convinced just about everyone we know that it's a girl, so we will see but couldn't be more excited either way!!!

Most of my days right now though are just soaking in this sweet season with Jane, which right now looks like lots of morning tea parties... 

And snuggling up reading on her "new bed" 🥰 Oh how sweet these days are!! 

This weekend, we are road-tripping down to my Alma Mater's city for a little Marriage Conference that Pierce and I have been so looking forward to!! Can't wait to show this sweet little campus to Jane and spend a weekend soaking up so much wisdom blessings at our conference.
