Friday Favorites - Evenings Outside, Azaleas Blooming, and Birmingham Friends

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Aww we are so looking forward to the weekend over here... We don't have any plans on our calendar besides our sweet small group on Sunday, so we are looking forward to lots of family time and hopefully enjoying a little sunshine as well!! Today I just have a few snapshots and simple joys from the week! I hope your week has been full of sweet blessings too!! Here are a few of ours! 

Goodness, we have just been LOVING our evenings outside this spring. It's the first spring that Jane is really into "playing outside" and LOVES going out to visit all of our neighbors before and after dinner. I snapped this from our back patio and loved it immediately. With the beginning of the azaleas blooming, the sun setting, and her sweet little dress and tennis shoe combo...it's the little things and this sure is a ton of favorite little things!! 

Speaking of azaleas and little things though....Goodness, a favorite will ALWAYS be our azaleas blooming... When we moved in, these bushes were outside our screened-in porch, and I was AMAZED our first spring at how pretty they were from every angle. I loved looking out and seeing this sweet pink coral color throughout the month of April. I snapped this when they were just starting to bloom and am still loving them just as much as when we moved in. I've learned a lot the past few years about taking care of them, but they are definitely a favorite, especially when it comes to landscaping. 

Another favorite is getting to see these sweet friends in Birmingham this past weekend! Julie and I lived next door to each other freshman year at Samford and would always joke that we could talk "through the outlets" because our beds were up against the same wall. We loved hanging out so much that one week we decided every Monday for lunch, we would try a new place in Birmingham for lunch, and thirteen years later, including many, many phone calls, road-trips to visit, wedding showers, bridesmaids, and baby showers, we both have a two year old with another on the way and LOVE when we get to catch up on life. Seeing her and her husband John at our marriage conference and staying with them was definitely a favorite for us!!! 

A favorite of Jane's is this little carseat that a sweet friend in my discipleship group gave her for her birthday. Let me tell you, this little baby car seat has come with us EVERYWHERE we have gone, including our road trip to Birmingham or the grocery store. I think she loves having a little friend next door in the backseat, and I have a feeling she's going to love it when there's "three" back there come this summer!!  

And most of our days this week have held little favorites like this one... Sometimes it's fun to be able to pick your snack, use a plate that "the girls" use on Tuesday night and pick where your table goes... Like I said, it's so often the little things!! 🤗 Mornings like this have made getting back into some of our small routines a little more fun this week. 

But speaking of routines, Jane and I are off to clean before this sweet weekend ahead and soak in the rest of our Friday with Pierce!!
