What's Up Wednesday [April 2024]

Happy Wednesday!! I thought today I would jump in to the blog link-up this month for recapping a little of what we've been up to this April... It's been a busy one, but a really fun one! And I hope some of these little snapshots are fun to get a little glimpse into our past few weeks!! I hope you've been having a great April as well and have been finding lots of simple joys and small blessings in your days this month!!

Here's just a little look at what the Riddicks have been up to around here... 

What We've Been Eating:

We've been getting back to our Mediterranean life and loving every minute!!

From lunch to dinner, we love this little spread - it's so simple and so yummy!!

We've also been LOVING our almond flour Simple Mills brownies, and Jane thought it was the biggest treat helping me make them the other night 😂 

What We're Reminiscing About:

I can't believe this was two years ago almost to the day now... She was so tiny and so cuddly... I love looking back on these sweet pictures so much... You can find a few more here of sweet little Jane just a few days old ❤️

What We're Loving:

Well speaking of two years ago... We have loved getting to celebrate Jane's birthday this month!! It's been the sweetest to reflect on all of the Lord's many, many blessings these past two years!! You can read a little bit more about her sweet birthday celebration here. 

What We've Been Up To:

Well, we've been having lots and lots of tea parties around here... 

But I love them so much and love getting some sweet quality time with this little one... 

What We're Dreading:

I don't think we're dreading too much over here...except maybe the fact that we know come June our night's sleeping are going to look much different for a little bit of time... 

What We're Working On:

Lots of house projects over here... 

From Jane's Big Girl Room... 

To Pierce's New "Office," we have been knee-deep in all things home, but have loved being able to wrap up some of these projects!! 

What We're Excited About:

We look forward to the spring every year when we get to plant flowers, clean up our yard and patio and spend so much time outside in the evenings and weekends! 

What We've Been Watching/Reading:

We have been loving some of our favorite shows this spring - Next Level Chef is definitely a favorite of ours! And we love to make Wednesday nights our "Pizza and show" night with a little Survivor and Amazing Race (mix in a whole lot of two-year old playtime and bedtime in the midst of it all as well haha) 

But we also can't wait to be reading seaside in just a few days as well!!! 

What We've Been Listening To:

From Steven Curtis Chapman on Saturday mornings making pancakes to our spring playlists in the car and audio books and podcasts on walks and doing dishes, I feel like we have been listening to it all recently. 

What We've Been Wearing:

Need I say more? 😂 Jane is still talking about the "moon" through the "glasses" hahaha 

What We're Doing This Weekend:

Pierce and I are headed back to this special little city where we have so many sweet memories!! This little house is where we got married, and we've since spent lots of little mini-getaways on this beach. We are looking forward to another one this weekend to celebrate birthdays and baby #2 joining our family soon!! 

What We're Looking Forward To Next Month:

May is just the sweetest month and there is so much to look forward to!! From both of our birthdays to Mother's Day to a sweet family friend throwing us a little morning shower for Baby #2 to Memorial Day, which is one of my favorite holiday weekends to celebrate and kick-off summer. It's also our last little month as a family of three, so we are trying hard to soak it all in before a new season for us starts in June!! 

What We're Thankful For:

This sweet month and this little growing family is always high on the list of things we are so very thankful for!!!
