Happy Friday!! Thanks to everyone who has kept up with us this week - it's been so fun to be back and thanks to all of your encouragement and kind words! It feels like we're always running a million miles an hour, so this is such a fun place to stop and reflect and share! Today I just have some simple Friday Favorites on here. From reading to watching to wearing and eating...I hope you might find something you love that you can add to your own days or just enjoy reading through a few our favorites at the moment.
My first favorite is this sweet summer edition of Magnolia Journal. I've added a few pages each morning to my morning routine and it has been such a fun delight - it just feels like summer!! I've just recently started really enjoying reading little magazines...so many fun tidbits, facts and ideas!
Now for my second favorite...let me preface by saying, Pierce and I love looking for just quality good shows. And honestly, sometimes we feel like they are hard to come by these days. But we also love watching shows about people and real things. We often will get so excited about a fictitious show and then one day, realized we haven't watched the next episode in months...I always say we're not good at watching shows hahaha but this past weekend, we came across this one and it is just too good. If you like The Great British Baking Show, you will love this one too. Same music and premise, but with families cooking meals, even in their own homes sometimes. So fun! Any show recommendations that you all have?! We don't watch them very often, but we are always on the search for good ones!
Speaking of tea...I'm a big tea drinker...you can read about that here. But after I found out I was pregnant last summer, I have kind of tried to drift away from caffeine. My mornings were never the same though without my earl grey. But then we came across these two herbal teas, and they have been a game changer. I have started mixing them, along with some fresh lavender, cream and honey and it's such a treat! You can find them here and here if you're interested, but I can't recommend them enough! We also love these tea bags and use them so often for loose leaf tea!
And if you're into tea, and even if you're not, this Chocolate Banana Ponderosa Cake is truly the best. Whether for dessert or afternoon snack with your tea, it's one of our favorites!! It's made with oat flour (ground oats) and coconut sugar and such a great treat!!
Another random favorite, but I had to order a new pair of running/walking shoes this week because my old ones started getting holes from me wearing them out π¬ Clear sign I had clearly used them to long...but I made the switch from Adidas to Brooks and have been loving them so far!! Have tried them on a few walks and runs and they have been great so far!
And last but not least...slow mornings. Pierce said the other day, "We are just slow mornings people, aren't we?" Hahaha I thought it was a so true. We love to drink our tea and coffee, eat good breakfasts, and spend time reading our Bibles and journaling. There's just nothing better!
And just for fun....a little bonus favorite...
Well, that about does it for my Friday Favorites over here... Send us any current favorites of yours too!
She'll always be a favorite of ours!!! ❤️
Hope you all have the best weekend, and I'll see you back here on Monday!!!

I love your list! (And your sweet babyπ₯°!) I too am a lover of tea and raised my girls on it—teatime with afternoon books, tearoom visits, and home tea parties with friends…so many sweet teatime memories-—and as a result, my oldest daughter just got married and insisted we serve hot tea at the reception. It was a hit! Our guests thought it was so neat and many who weren’t tea drinkers before said they are now interested in tea. I’m sure your little girl will be a tea lover too! π«π
ReplyDeleteAlinda! This note made my day! I love that you are a fellow tea lover and that you raised your girls on it too ☺️ And how fun that it was at your daughter's reception!!! We had a little hot tea bar while the girls got ready at our wedding, but at the reception is such a fun idea!! Thanks for taking the time to share! I would love to hear about your favorite teas one day too π₯°☕️π Thanks again!!! SO fun to hear from you!
