A Walk Down Music Lane

Well, we are so thankful for such a sweet weekend over here... Our home is clean and fresh and ready for January with Christmas taken down, we got some sweet downtime on Saturday, and mainly, we really loved cheering on our number one guy this weekend at his show Friday night.
Pierce is a musician through and through, even though he has a job in finance now... He majored in Classical Percussion, interned in New York in college, and worked for several different studios after he graduated. Let's just say, he's pretty talented in all things music, and one of my favorite things is to watch him get to do his thing.

But this weekend was extra special because it was the first time he's played live music in quite a while and definitely the first time Jane got to cheer on her daddy on stage. She loves listening to any and all music, so we had a feeling she would love it, and she really did.
This little cutie even got to go up on stage after, and she was loving it 😂 I love these two so much!!
One of my favorite things is to hear Pierce playing the cajon. He always says it's such a "simple" instrument, but every time I hear it, that word never comes to mind.
We had so many friends and small group members come cheer him on, and we are so proud of him for a fun night and supporting two of our sweet friends!
Pierce, we'll always be your number one fans!! (Don't mind our tired eyes and insane hair hahaha)
Jane was a champ, and we were so glad that we got to go out and watch Pierce do something he loves and is so good at it! That's when living in Nashville only feels right haha ☺️
Going to this show made me want to go back in the archives, and I found this gem from 2017 when Pierce was asked to play percussion with a local band in town.
We were young and dating and carefree, and it was so fun cheering him on then too!!
Then our wedding! This was such a fun one!!
Loved watching my him kill it on the drums!!!
And lastly, it's fun when we get to be in the studio together too. As much as I love watching Pierce PLAY music, sitting along side him while he produces music might just be a close second.
He's amazing and the albums he's produced and friends who he's gotten to help dreams come to life has been such a blessing to him and to me!
Life in Nashville with a nine-month old and a career in finance looks a lot different than it did, but music will always have a very, very soft spot in our hearts, and we can't wait to see how the Lord weaves it into our lives even still.
And in a lot of ways right now, that is just watching this little girl explore all things music, and we love it.

What fun to walk through different seasons and how fun it was to cheer Pierce on this weekend as he got to do something that has been such a big part of so many of them!!!

Thanks for following along in our sweet weekend!!
I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!!
Blessings,
Tabitha
