Happy Wednesday!! Half way through this short week!! I thought today could be fun just to share a few snapshots from our Christmas and New Years. As always, it was busy and full and so fun. So incase you are interested in what the Riddicks were up to, here are just a few snapshots from that sweet break!
Looking back through my little album, this one just caught my eye...an imperfect piece of parchment paper, our new favorite tea drink, a Christmas mug, and my sweet sister's homemade cookies and icing. Take me back.
Kicking off break, this little one was loving Mommy and Daddy's Christmas sheets in the morning when she'd help me make the bed.
And Christmas cards finally got in the mail!
This little cutie ran a few Christmas errands with Mama!!
We also fit in some time just to be cozy and read while Pierce finished up at the office a few mornings!
Then we headed up to Louisville and had to make it out to see the snow!
A highlight of break for sure🥰❄️
This little one loved it!
And so did we!!
Christmas Day was filled with so much excitement! This little one would clap anytime we were excited, which was pretty much every time anyone was opening a gift.
A favorite from her grandparents....so very focused on this little remote control. 😂
And waving to all her "fans" as she experimented with her big gift hahaha
Such a sweet little climbing ladder that she uses almost everyday now!! We couldn't recommend this sweet little Etsy shop enough.
And opening Pierce's present that he chose and wrapped is always a highlight ☺️
This year it was the most thoughtful little Polaroid camera...we already love it so much!!
The next morning, we so enjoyed my mom's homemade little quiches that she made from our sweet friend Anne Maya's cookbook. They were amazing!! We loved getting to enjoy the snow more and soaking it up like old times!
Jane loved getting time with her Aunt Audrey!!
And her grandmama :)
We had to make a little trek through the woods to see all of the trails covered in snow!
And this little picture might just be my new favorite. These two are peas in a pod and this is definitely Jane's favorite place to be by far.
Speaking of favorite places to be...this was definitely at the top over break.
Just love this house in the snow!!
Jane got to meet some horses! It seemed only right for time in Kentucky!
She warmed up eventually hahaha
And when we made it back to Nashville, this was definitely our favorite scene for the week. Cards. Tea. And cozy afternoons.
Jane loved experimenting with all of her new toys...
And this is about as crazy as our New Years got over here...hahaha We spent New Years Eve with some sweet family friends and then rang in New Years Day cozied up at home.
Ending January 1st ready to see what 2023 holds!!
And there you have it...just a few little snapshots of Christmas break. We loved it. We always love time off and time together. We'll take a road trip or a plane ride or just a simple weekend at home any time of the year, but Christmas is always so very special!
Until next year!! 🎄✨🥰
