Hello March

Goodness, I just love a new month!

And this one means so much more to me now because last year, we were praying and hoping and counting down till Jane's sweet due date on March 26th, 2022. (Which turned into us loving April all the more when she came on April 5th.) You can read a little bit more about our last March here

There's something so refreshing about the 1st of the month though. A new month, a fresh start, a continuation of the calendar but with a little fun meaning and moment to regroup and reflect and think about all that's happened and all that's to come.

On the first of the month, I always like to stop and take a small pulse on where we are as a family - our rhythms, routines, day-to-day life, our home, our faith, our budget... Just a little snapshot of time.

This year, Pierce and I made a little fun goal to make a date night at the start of each month to go over our budget and goals together. So tomorrow Jane is getting some sweet time with a family friend, and we are headed to our favorite restaurant to do a little planning for this month of March.

We have a busy month ahead, but we're excited for all that it holds. I can't wait to be back soon with some goals and updates, but today, I am just taking a deep breath, reflecting a little, and still in disbelief that we're already three months into 2023 and that twelve months ago we were just a few weeks out from meeting our little one. How time just doesn't slow down...

What are your favorite things to do at the start of the month?! I always love your all's fun ideas and insights!

I hope today is a great start to a new month for you!! Here's to a wonderful March and a little fresh start on this Wednesday!

I'll see you back here tomorrow!
Happy March 1st!!

  2. It's insane to me that it's already March!! We've got spring break this month, which doesn't mean anything crazy for us - except for some special one on one days with our girl between my husband and I rotating between taking days off to spend with her. I'm assuming we'll be doing things like: zoo, fun art projects, play dates, library trips. The extra fun stuff we can't do during the day typically with two working parents!
