Friday Favorites - Picnics, Cookies and Bible Studies

HAPPY FRIDAY in the FALL!! The best kinds of Fridays... We are loving these October weekends and are looking forward to seeing friends, having our small group over and soaking in this amazing weather!! Today I just have a few simple joys for your Friday!! I know they are all over our days, and it's fun to just pick a few to share!! I hope your October days have been just as sweet! Here's a few snapshots for your morning!! 

Well, as simple as it may be, we love simple little picnics in the yard. Jane was out playing on her bike, and I grabbed a little picnic blanket that a student had given me one summer to spread out. I laid Andy down and went to grab something and when I turned around, Jane had gotten off of her bike to say hi and give him a kiss... a favorite for sure!!

We hung out a little... 

Then Daddy came home and we made nachos and ate outside!! Simple joys for sure!! 

I mentioned this on Tuesday, but a favorite for sure was making cookies with Jane this week. 

We made Alinda's Autumn Apple Cookies and they were a FAVORITE for sure!! A perfect way to celebrate fall, the first day of school, and all the apples that we've been talking about and learning about!!

Speaking of apples, another favorite this week for sure!! We have become a fan of Olipops over here, and this one is definitely a favorite and perfect for fall!!

Another favorite is this Bible Study on 1st, 2nd, 3rd John that I'm doing with a group of women from our church. I am way behind on the homework, but the days I've done, I've really enjoyed. Pierce took Jane one morning to "the coffee shop," and I loved having a little extra time to spend on it. I definitely recommend if you're looking for one!! 

And lastly, just forever a favorite is simple days and mornings at home. We are still settling in to new routines and rhythms with two, but I'm trying hard to treasure these days for sure. I love this little picture and especially Jane's sandals that were hand-me-downs from a friend, and she loves putting them on in the morning. She will always ask, "This right?!" for her feet and it makes me laugh... 

She still loves reading to Andy, and I love a few minutes too!!

He's still just SO smiley, especially when we're all at the table eating breakfast or dinner.

And I love finding simple and fun things for Jane to do in the mornings and this one was definitely a hit!!

And that about does it for a few Friday Favorites over here... Jane, Andy, and I are off to finish cleaning a little and get our house ready for the fall weekend - windows open and a candle lit is just my very favorite combo!!
