Life Lately 10.20.22

Happy Thursday!! Our week is moving full speed ahead over here as we head into the last week of October next week...how is that even possible?! 

Today I just have a little Life Lately around here...a few small moments in-between the busy of the past week of two... Hope you enjoy a little peek into the Riddick lives while you're balancing and finding small moments in yours too!! 

A lot of our life lately has looked like this sweet girl starting to join us at the table for a few meals, which has been so very fun, and as you can tell, she's loved it too!!! 

This guy. I snapped this picture as he was washing oil off of his hands from fixing a piece in our car that needed replacing... A random hobby of his that blesses us at the same time!! So thankful for him and his home-made headlamp of a flashlight in his hat 😂 and for weekend chores getting checked off the list! 

One rainy and cold weekend, we made chicken soup and snuggled up for a weekend by the fire with some books and movies and little Jane hanging in her favorite corner of the couch with us 🥰

Most mornings have been starting with this sweet book and my Bible and journal... Throughout the busy, this book has been the perfect book to pair with this season. Still can't recommend it enough if you're even the slightest bit weary or just need a little reminder on the sweet character of Jesus.

Pierce came home for lunch one day with hummus, and we added those farm-fresh peppers that we were trying to work our way through...such a fun little splurge that day! 

This is still what most of my afternoons/evenings look like while Pierce gets some one-on-one time with Jane. 

I finished one of my October goals with some completed DIY projects, including these sweet Hobby Horses for school. I wrote a little how-to post on them here incase you're interested.

And this was pretty much my go-to errand outfit for several days in a row these past few weeks... I've posted about my favorite teacher sweatshirt before, but it seriously is a favorite and would make for such a sweet gift for any teachers you know. 🍎

Jane and I met Pierce one day out at one of our favorite salad places for lunch one day, and we both laughed at her little front row seat there hahaha 

Love any time I get to see this guy during the day!! 

Also, I don't think I could ever soak up enough of these cozy mornings with sweet Jane... With family and friends and so many things on the calendar, they've been few and far between, but I love them so much!!! 

This girl is also living her best Autumn life over here hahaha

See what I mean?! Hahaha our neighbor put up a little swing for their precious little boy, and Jane loves it so much too!! 

We also had such fun friends from Texas in town for a wedding, and we loved getting to have dinner out with them one night. Jane was a champ, and we loved the hot chicken, sweet conversations, and catching up with old friends. ❤️ Some of our favorite things for sure!!! We love you, Lane and Eurica!!!

We also had a visit from Pierce's dad, always known as GP these days! 

Got in some playtime and some piano time...Pierce is making sure to teach her young hahaha 

And I managed to catch a few snuggles on Sunday as well 🥰 

This pretty much sums up Life Lately too....leaves on top of leaves on top of leaves... 

And this... her face...her shirt...can't get over it 😂

Goodness...how and why is she growing so fast?! We just love this sweet girl. 

We also love when this place is full to the brim with our people...even when we have to get out camping chairs and make it work to eat scattered in the living room instead of around a table... It's always worth it, and we've come to love this sweet small group and every other Monday night so much. 

And last but not least...we were on our way out the door to a lunch one day, and I realized the temperature was colder than it had been all season, so Jane got to bust out her little vest that I had picked up at a consignment sale... Why are tinier clothes just so cute?! Hahaha 

That about sums up a little Life Lately around here... We have Pierce's mom and sister in town for the rest of the week and then head out of town this weekend to be with my family, so our schedules are packed, but our hearts are full and we're soaking in all that we're learning in this new season!
