A Few Favorites Fall Crafts

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had as gorgeous of an October weekend as we did over here in Nashville...it was dreamy... And we just soaked it up... A few walks, a bit of football, some amazing food, and lots of rest and family time...we just loved every minute.

We are off to the races this week... Our October picks up speed after this week, with lots of family and friends coming in town and a vacation to the beach at the end of the month, so my to-do list somehow seems a mile long...
But I wanted to share a few of my favorite Fall Crafts incase you have a few kids in your life (whether your own children, grandchildren, nieces/nephews, cousins, etc) who are looking for a few cute things to do this season. ☺️ For the past three years, I worked with some extremely creative and fun teachers who always came up with fun new ways to celebrate the seasons, and fall was a favorite for sure!!

I hope these are fun to add to your stash!! And I have a fun Stick Horse post coming soon as well!!!
I have to start with this adorable pumpkin picture craft... As with all of these, you can make these what works for you (and usually just use what you have!!) But for this one, I love a cute picture in the middle of a pumpkin patch trip or just simply holding a pumpkin...or you can just make it a stained glass pumpkin and hang it on your window... But you'll just need...
Orange and green or brown construction paper
Orange and yellow tissue paper
Green paint for the handprint
Twine
Contact Paper
You cut a pumpkin outline (or really just an oval...) And put contact paper just on one side so that the inside of the pumpkin is sticky... Cut up some square of tissue paper and then fill the sticky inside contact paper with that tissue paper...
Then cut out a little stem, and make a cute green handprint to glue on...
And I like to add a cute little picture in the middle (totally optional)
And you can laminate it, or just simply put a piece of contact paper over the front, and then add a little twine bow... It's the cutest to have on the refrigerator or light beams in if you put it up against the window!!
The second cute one craft I love is this little homemade scarecrow... Again, so flexible with what you have and what your child wants to create... For this one, really, all you'll need is..
Different color construction paper
Scissors
Glue
From there, I cut the circle for the head, the hat, eyes, and bird shape out for them, and then just cut lots of different rectangles (for the arms and matches) and yellow rectangles for them to cut the hay/straw. Most of them spent a lot time cutting the straw and taking their time gluing them together...
Then, I think their favorite part was getting to use a *Sharpie* to "sew" their patches on... Such a cute craft and we loved having these hang in our hallway throughout the fall season!!
Another SIMPLE craft that was always a hit (for me and for them) was to take an empty egg carton (thank you to my mom who would always collect them for us 😂) and add a little label... (Again, totally optional.. and it could say anything!!) And take them on a Nature Walk!
We'd usually read this sweet book right before we headed out...
And then take our time looking for lots of different kinds of nature...
They were always VERY proud of what they had found. ☺️ And it was the perfect craft/activity to get outside on these beautiful fall mornings!! You could even empty these and repeat several different times/days/in different places, etc. So fun and simple!!
This one is just a fun one and we would usually do it in the fall when we were learning the letter "R" for Rainbow... All you need is...
Skittles or M&Ms
Paper Plate
Water
You just put the candy around the edge of the plate and add the tiniest bit of water in the middle until it's touching all of the candy...
And after a minute or two, it truly makes the coolest rainbow and design...
This one always got me too and the kids wanted to keep doing it because it was so fun and fascinating!!! Such an easy and simple little activity for your fall morning!!!
Speaking of rainbows, here's a bonus craft for you if you're ever studying Noah! Just a little pool noodle cut in half, with a few pipe cleaners, and cotton balls on the edges...this was definitely a prized procession for the little ones after they made them!!!
These centers were ALWAYS a hit, but the bundle costs a little bit on Teachers Pay Teachers. You can find it here if you're interested. But if you're looking for a little math and a little letter practice in the fall, this is a fun one. We just paired it with a few mini erasers that were fall oriented or little numbers, and if you add a Dry Erase Marker, it's just the most fun for them!!!
And a little bonus for your November too... This was always a sweet one that we would do for Thanksgiving, but you could make it however it would work in your family - a big family turkey, a cute Thankfulness tree, an individual one for each person in your family, etc... We always just added a picture in the middle (usually a cute face shot for this pumpkin, but it could be your family or any picture you choose!) and cut out some feathers for them to share what they were thankful for. We turned ours into placemats, but you could just have yours up for the season depending on how you did it!!

And there you go... a few little Fall Crafts that I hope maybe inspired you a bit and gave you some creative ideas if you were in need some!! What are your favorites?! I'm in need of some baby ones over here the next year or two 😂

Happy Fall to you and the little ones in your life, and I'll see you back here tomorrow!!!
