Happy happy FRIDAY!! Aww how are we flying through the month of October so fast?! I'm simultaneously trying to slow it down while also trying to soak in every moment and day of this fall season!
We have friends and family in town this weekend and throughout the week and then we are off to the beach with my family to finish out the month, so today, I just have a few simple favorites from our past week just staying cozy at home...
Hope your week has been filled with simple blessings as well and you enjoy reading a few of ours this morning!!
Well my first favorite is Pierce made some of my dreams come true this week and bought us the most perfect yellow mums for the first time... I planted them in our planter boxes one afternoon while Jane was napping, and they make me smile every time I see them!
Speaking of fall and happiness, this has been my place every morning this week, and I am loving it. Our living room is almost completely back in action, and my heart couldn't be bursting with more joy. I'm excited to share the updates soon, but until then, it's been tea, coffee, and our library of morning books on this cozy couch every morning ❤️
Even Jane wanted to cozy up one morning when she woke up as I finishing reading 😉🥰 Sweet girl...
Speaking of reading in the mornings, if you're in need of a good Christian non-fiction, I truly cannot recommend this book enough. I know I'm a few years behind on this one - Pierce read it a few years ago when it came out, and I know several others did too. But as our last month or two started to take a little toll on my heart, Matthew 11:28-29 kept coming to mind, and I remembered this book. It has been so sweet to read a little bit of this each morning. If you're feeling even the slightest bit weary or weighed down or even just looking for a great book to add to your mornings, I can't recommend it enough!!
This favorite is a fun one - Pierce found a local farm through Harvie Farms, and we signed up for two of their "Fall Harvests" deliveries. We've been loving some fresh eggs and greens and have been on pepper overload here 😂 We've made more dinners (and breakfasts and lunches) with peppers in them than we knew was possible...but it's been fun knowing we're supporting our sweet local farms... And send any pepper recipes our way if you have them!!
Jane and I went to one of our favorite trails to walk earlier this week, and it was really starting to look like fall... And with a big storm that blew through later in the week, it looks even more like fall over here now... We're soaking in all the beautiful colors and all the fall feels!
And last but not least...Jane took her first little ride in the shopping cart this week 😂 We got to Kroger and realized we had forgotten the carrier, so she got in a little ride and loved every second... As did everyone who stopped because she was staring at them for so long hahaha love this little girl!! And random trips to the grocery store with these two.
And there you have it...just a few of our favorites these days... Thanks Erika and Andrea for hosting a fun link-up! And thanks for reading and following along in our little journey!!
I hope you and your families are able to have such a cozy, fun, and restful weekend, and I'll see you back here on Monday!!
Blessings,
❤️Tab
