Life Lately 7.16.26

Happy Thursday!! Today I have two posts for your Thursday - a little life lately recently and of course a frame this moment too!! When I started my blog, July was always my favorite month to blog. As a teacher, I had the summers off and June felt like the perfect resting month and July the fun month, and blogging always fell into that category. This July has felt busy and fun with lots of family and travel and calendar things, but I always love when I can get back on here. It's a favorite for me, and thanks as always for following along on here as well!! 

So without further-ado, here's a little look at life lately for the Riddicks...

Happy Tuesday!! Goodness, we had quite the big weekend this past week, and I thought I might do a little weekend recap (with a BIG part of our weekend - sweet Andy's birthday - coming tomorrow!)

Happy Wednesday in May!! We are loving the beginning of this sweet month over here, and this week I am knee deep in packing and prepping for a little birthday (x2!), Mother's Day, and kick-off to summer beach trip that the four of us are headed to at the end of the week. Today I thought I'd just share a few little snapshots and pictures from life lately around here though...

Happy Wednesday, my friends. Thank you so much for all of your kind messages and prayers last week about Pierce's granddad. We were so thankful to have been able to see him, visit with him, and be with family. We are praying for his last days and are so incredibly grateful that he knows Jesus. ❤️ Today I thought I'd share just a few snapshots of a little life lately around here... It's been busy and full and filled with hard and good of course, but here are just a few little snapshots for your Wednesday morning!

Life Lately In Film - January Edition

Happy Tuesday friends!!! Today I thought I'd start a new little series on here called "Life Lately In Film." 

It will come as no surprise to anyone that I am a picture girl through and through. I love them. I always have, and I'm sure always will. I was the friend communicating via picture texts back with a flip phone and thinking the best errand as a child was going with my mom to get our "film" developed at the store. I will always love pictures so very much, but recently, especially with littles who are ever-changing, I have started to just adore videos just as much. SO much is captured on film. And as I've been in my "Frame This Moment" season, I have realized how much is truly framed in a little snapshot of a video. 

Riddicks' Winter Storm Week

Happy Wednesday, friends! Well, today I thought I would share a few snapshots from our time last week with all of the snow and ice. I know this winter storm created a lot of hardship for a lot of people, in and out of Nashville, and we are still praying for those without power and all who were deeply affected by this storm. With two littles under our roof, we tried to keep morale high and memory making a priority, while simultaneously having heavy hearts and a mindset of prayer for all that was happening around us.

Out of all the the blur of last week, my very favorite moment was when Jane went to her room for a minute with our power out and trees and tree branches falling left and right around our neighborhood. She came downstairs a few minutes later and said, "I went to my room and prayed that a tree would not fall on our house." Cue all the tears. The faith and prayers of a child. There is nothing quite like them. 

So, needless-to-say, we are just making our way through the days after this storm, reflecting on the sweetness and fun and the hard and the good, all the while keeping our focus on Jesus. I thought I'd just share a few snapshots and memories from the week though - a week for the books for sure.

Well, we sure have been trying hard to make the most of it over here, but in the best way. We've tried to slow down, put some sweet events on the calendar, make the little things special, and schedule in lots of rest and downtime too, which are usually our very favorite!! Happy Tuesday!! I hope everyone had such a wonderful weekend!! We are in an in-between stage over here of still adjusting to family of four life and also getting back into normal rhythms and routines. With school starting back up, tutoring is starting back up for me, our small group is starting to meet again, we have some fun trips and travel back on our calendar and we are counting down till the fall weather and "holidays" on the horizon. ☺️ So today I just have a few snapshots from life lately recently as we soak in the last of summer and this sweet little transition season!!

Happy Tuesday!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend and start to the week! We have been loving the beautiful weather that Nashville has been getting recently!! Bring on all the sunshine in this early spring - I love it so much!! Today I just have a little Life Lately for you! Good morning!! Happy Tuesday!!! I hope everyone had the very best week and has been having a great start to their week! 

We had our small group over last night for our annual Christmas party and just had such a sweet time celebrating all that the Lord has done this year (and over the last four years!) We have another Christmas party at our house tonight for my Discipleship Group, a dinner on the calendar tomorrow night, Pierce's work Christmas party on Thursday night, and Pierce's parents come in on Friday! It definitely feels like Christmastime over here, and we are loving all the celebrations! But today, I just have a few pictures of Life Lately for you. A little from Thanksgiving, a little from life around town, and a little of just snapshots of our lots of ordinary moments that I'm so very grateful for.
