Aww Happy Monday!!! The first one of November! We had the best weekend over here... It was our first one home just the three of us in quite some time so we just soaked it in...a rainy Saturday and cozy Sunday meant soup on the stove, a fire in the living room, You’ve Got Mail on Friday night and a little football to end the weekend. We loved every minute.
I thought I’d start the week off with a little November Goals update for you guys. It’s been fun resetting at the start of each month with a few goals to try to accomplish, and I’ve loved hearing the ones you all have shared as well.
First, let’s take a look back on October…
1. Soak up as much family time and fall fun as I can...
I'd say this was a good one to have at the top of the list in October... From hosting so many family members, to fun weekends at our pumpkin patch and picking up farm food, and ending with a vacation at the beach, we really did soak in all the goodness that October had to offer, and I loved it.
2. Catch up on all things home...
This one felt good... And with the exception of Jane's closet currently (we call it on "red-alert" hahaha) our home is pretty much put back together, and I think it has made everything feel a little "lighter..." Especially as we enter the craziness of the holidays - I am very grateful.
3. Finish my DIY projects.
Yes! This one was a fun one. I did a little post on the Hobby Horses here, and touched a little on my fan DIY project here. The concrete pumpkins I was working on didn't fully make my vision next year, but one did make our porch, and I think I've learned enough to try again next year and make them way better. I'll make a note to add it to the fall list next year.
And for November, I tried to keep them small and manageable.
1. Run 20 miles.
I've been running a little bit more the past few weeks, and it's felt so nice as the weather has started to get a little cooler. I know this doesn't seem like that monumental of a goal mileage wise, but I thought it would keep me going to try to hit my miles throughout the month.
2. Read/Journal every morning before Jane wakes up.
This is a sweet one that Pierce and I have been in the habit of the past few weeks, and it has continued to make all the difference. Life is obviously so fluid with a six month old, but reading in the morning before we start our day or while Jane's taking it easy the first few moments if she's up early is so good for the rest of our days...
3. Keep up our laundry system.
I've tried out a new laundry system the past few weeks, and even with the busiest of schedules, it seems to be serving our family really well. So my goal is to keep it going as we enter the holidays and traveling so I can feel like it's manageable throughout the month...I'll have to do a post on it soon...it's honestly rather simple, but has made a big difference...
And that's really it...I just chose three practical things that seem small, but I think would help me as we enter the holidays. As always, spending as much time soaking in the day-to-day moments and LOVING this season are always at the top of my list. 🥰
...basically, this is also my life on repeat this month. Hahaha What are you guys up to this month?! I’d love to hear your goals and work on them together as the season gets a little crazy and we try to slow down just a bit and soak up the small and day-to-day moments. Thanks for following along!!
I’ll see you back here in the morning!!
Happy November!!

These goals are lovely! I just know you'll hit those 20 miles! A goal of mine is that I'm starting a bullet journal - which is just like my 100th attempt to keep my life organized, I truly think I've tried it all! Hopefully this one sticks! Happy November!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eurica!! And ok I love this!!! I cannot wait to see your journal!! It's going to be amazing I know! Maybe it'll inspire me in 2023 hahaha Keep us updated!!!
DeletePhew! what fun goals! My goals for this month:
ReplyDelete- make it through the end of the crazy photo season - currently up editing most nights until midnight (my only free time as a working mama with a side hustle!)
- we celebrate things big at our house, and my daughters birthday is this weekend. So we are prepping ALL the things from a fun balloon wakeup with breakfast to her birthday party! As well as adding in touches of fall/thankful crafts!
- Organize the storage room HA! this is a big one, but we've got our Christmas stuff out already (LOL) so now is the perfect time to organize all the other stuff before Christmas comes back for the end of the year.
Cheers to our goals!
Alisha wow!! I love these goals!! I'm sure the photo season is crazy right now!! You are also amazing for fitting it all in!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your daughter!! I'm sure her party will be amazing! I can't wait to hear about the progress of all of these!!
