Friday Favorites - New Parks, Garden Fresh Watermelon, and Jane Reading

Happy Friday!! Hope this week of August has been a good one! Ours has started to feel more full around here, but with all good things! I have just a few of our favorites from this past week for you today! Hope you're finding simple joys throughout your days as well!! Here's a little look at a few of ours! 

This week, we tried a new park that Jane and I had been to, but we'd never run in as a family. The scenes were just picture perfect, especially at sunset! 

Jane loves these nights as much as we do we think, despite her little look in this pic and those poor bug bites from our small group grill out... 

We'll be back here for sure, swooning over owning land one day that has a pretty sunset like this! 

Speaking of running, I snapped these two pictures because incase we were wondering if Jane watches and mimics everything we do...we let her out of her stroller for a bit while we were stretching, and she came right over and started "stretching her calves" right along beside me 😂 

And the same a few miles later with Daddy hahaha Soon she's going to be out of the stroller running alongside us I'm sure haha!

My parents brought us a homegrown watermelon from their garden last weekend...

And it made it into our small group grill-out this week and truly was the best watermelon we may have ever had...

Even Jane thought so... 😂 

Speaking of that night though, it was definitely a favorite. We had our summer grill-out and fall kick-off and Pierce grilled 24 burgers and 16 hotdogs, we got out all of our camping and mix-matched chairs, borrowed a set of corn hole, turned on our patio lights and just were so grateful for community. We know change is on the horizon with it growing so much and more families and kiddos being added to the mix, but for now, we are thankful that the Lord has given us this community for the past three and half years...

Another favorite around here these days is Jane reading...it feels like everywhere I look this girl has a little book and is laying down or finding a spot to sit and read... I haven't posted my August goals yet, but one is to grab some more books for her, especially with fall and back-to-school themes are on my mind. ☺️

And lastly, our little Friday morning cleaning routine is a favorite around here. Jane has become quite the helper, and it really has become a part of our rhythms that we love going into the weekend with a little freshen and cleaned home...
