Friday Favorites - New Carseats, Family in Town, and Slow Mornings

Happy Friday!! Hope everyone's August is off to a great start!! Today kicks off the first day of school for many schools around here, and I hope if you're in a school-year season of life right now the first day is so fun, special, and sweet!! 

This weekend we are just working on our yard, mapping out our fall calendar and trying to soak in all the family time we can before another busy season is upon us!! 

Today I just have a few favorites for you from our week!! Hope you're finding simple joys in yours as well!! And I'll plan to see you back here next week!! 

Oh goodness, this girl upgraded car seats this past week, and let me tell you - she has LOVED being able to see anything and everything through her windows. This carseat sits up a whole lot more, and I catch her staring out the window 99% of our drives. (And Daddy is becoming quite the pro at installing these things!)

This smile!! These grandparents 😍 We loved having family in town this past weekend!! It was too fun, and as you can tell, Jane LOVED it too!! We had the best time celebrating Nana and sharing all things Nashville with them! 

I snapped this one morning that was pouring outside and Pierce was working from home. We had a little extra time and read upstairs with tea and coffee, and it was by far a favorite this week!! 

The time has finally come over here... This was part of Pierce's birthday gift because we've always talked about wanting to try it...  We officially have an active starter and our first loaf is in the process...send any and all tips you have for us 😂 We are pretty much assuming this first loaf will not turn out, but we are hopeful!! I'll keep you posted for sure! 

This little fam is always a favorite. Jane has had a few extra restaurant visits this past week and has handled them like a champ! Figuring out and navigating all the ins and outs of life with a one year old in this season is a favorite too - and it certainly does feel like there are a lot of ins and outs hahaha 

But she's a favorite, and I wouldn't trade these days or this season! I am thanking the Lord and trying my best to just soak them in!!!
